Time for a related confession… Years ago now, a member who shall remain nameless was publicly obsessed with his point count and hitting the next level, posting a load of nonsense just to hit target. Those of you who know me will understand why I did what I did next…😇 I went backstage several times in the space of three hours and kept knocking 10 off his post count, so that every time he got near to target, he suffered a setback. Now most of you would have smelled a rat at this point, but not our friend. He was furious and contacted the webmaster (at my suggestion). Sadly for him, the webmaster was in on it too, and claimed nothing was amiss. Our friend’s fury was most amusing indeed, and he finally did hit his target the next day, although he fumed for several days that he had been cheated. Wrong - he’d been robbed. 😇 (I added the points back in a week later.) The lessons: > Point levels on member accounts can be fiddled by motivated admins > Never show your weaknesses in front of me > I don’t kick people when they’re down - just when they’re not looking > I’m more devious than you ever realised 🤣

We have a number of the WSCC Speed Series guys in action at Mallory Park on Sunday so we will be going along to spectate and cheer them on! Assuming the weather is kind we will get the cars out and meet at the Ashby de la Zouch KFC/Starbucks services (LE65 1JP) for a 9am departure, aiming to land at Mallory about 930am. If the weather isn't Westfield friendly, we will going in the tin tops 👍 Alternatively, you can just meet us at Mallory. Oh, and spectators are free! If you park overlooking the pit straight you will be able to cross the circuit on foot via the bridge and get into the paddock to see the drivers and cars 👍

Our very own @Simon Waterfall Syman84 is competing in the BRSCC MX5 Clubman Championship at Silverstone today. He has qualified for race one 7th on the grid! The races are due to start at 1410 and 1735 today. You can watch the races live on YouTube: Good luck mate! 👍

The mrs dragged me in to hobbycraft this afternoon but I did find this and couldn't resist! Going to try to build it quicker than the two years it took me to get my Westfield on the road 🤪

Simon used to compete regularly in the Speed Series, in an narrow body Westfield. My abiding memory is having had a passenger ride in his car, I was stuck in the seat, and could only get out by Simon hauling me out by my armpits!

Loved reading this thread! I am a lowly Learner Driver, which is probably a true reflection of both my driving ability and knowledge of a Westfield! 🤣 Hoping to be an Average Joe Driver one day in the not too distant future…..
