  4. Westfield would be the only ones who could answer that. With the old company you had a lot of people who would pay £30k for a top of the range Westfield as it was cheaper than a Caterham. Also when they bought Chesil, prices increased and they were selling them but even at those prices not making enough profit to survive. Sometimes we conflate our members and their desire to build a car with those who rock up and slap a cheque down. Also how many are serial builders these days, not that many. I do agree they need to move with the times and have social media engagement but again if their market is now more ready built to customers who do not spend time on Youtube they may not feel the need. As I said previously GBS and MK have really upped their game and both produce stunning cars and closed the gap but there is still a gap

  5. I hope they do too - but I think they need to offer a starter all in self build kit for under 10k. The price of their EV kit needs to be cut in half. Updating their homepage and actually posting regularly on Facebook would help. And are they in touch with their ready made customer base ie us? Where are the weekly offers and discount coupons - Or have I missed something?

  8. The Sunday should be a good show day as it's running along side the Fast Show which is the Pods first big show of the year👍 Saturday is a RWYB day so £40 gets you unlimited runs up the 1/4 mile strip😎 Sunday is limited to three runs up the strip as it's a big show. Need some competition see if you can better my 11.91 run!😁👍

  10. Thanks to @Naranja_Al got today pair of doors, so my "weather kit" is now complete . Hope no need to use it too often 90% of joy of open car seems to be gone with that. But supouse it better than to drive beeing soaked. Need to figure out where to attach door strap, how its soupoused to be attached ? (I got rid of those aluminium vinyl covered inside side panels, propably originaly there is a place for button-clip?)

  14. Yes, agreed @RickRack, the talk was well put together with useful information, a good mix of driving and non-driving information. It lasted 1 hour so was not overly long, my only critisism is that the mileage was in European kilometers and I work in British miles, so I was left doing maths in my head whilst trying to keep up 🤣🤣 A lot of time and effort has clearly gone into it and we are lucky to be able to access it for free THANK YOU

  15. Don't agree... very much depends on spec, but given you can pick up a very usable used Westfield for 10-12k and second hand Caterhams seem to start at around 20k, what does the extra 10K get you? Both will be impractical, noisy, respectably quick and huge fun. What's the big difference? When people ask if my Westie is a Caterham my stock answer is no, it's a Westfield, kind of a poor man's Caterham.... I don't care about the badge, what I do care about is the smile on my face when I drive it... Which is the whole point of owning any 7 type car.

  17. Damn, damn, damn, was hoping for a Sunday run so I’d have time to bleed the new rad and put the car back together tomorrow. Sorry, it’ll have to be next time for me.
