  4. John has pointed out a couple of positives back, there are many more. Don't underestimate the value of the insurance side. Motorcycle racing in Ireland had to be cancelled as they couldn't get insurance!!! Motorsport UK has a very good relationship with the insurance providers due to its Governance over the years. Also to point out their fee for a championship is £177 for the club.

  8. IIRC, it was £25 for years up until 2019 pre-Covid! With inflation, that £25 should be £32.09 today. IMHO, £12 seems quite a bargain, there’s not a lot you can get for that much these days.

  9. Please find as an attachment the 2024 Speed Series Regulations, currently Draft until approved by Motorsport UK. To enter please visit the Forum Store. Key changes :- Classes match a lot of the Clubs whose events we attend during the year. Scoring has been made relatively simple and hopefully easy for Drivers to leave an event knowing exactly what they have scored. There are a lot of Club members who have other makes of Kit car, you can now enter the main classes of the Championship A to F and there is an Trophy for the highest placed driver not in a Westifeld, called the Challenge Championship Winner. Overall the objective is to hopefully increase the numbers of Speed Series Competitors out there having some fun and enjoying the competition. The SSOT spent a lot of time trying to get this right and balance everything, hopefully we have got close. Any questions please ask here or PM me. Have a great season. 2024 V4 WSCC Speed Series Championship Regulations.docx

  14. The Cupola is in a very beautiful setting and it is an excellent cafe, I can't wait for you all to experience it. A line of cars parked there will look amazing. The building has been designed to look like the cupola that used to be on that site. A cupola is a rounded dome used to heat lead ore in order to separate them.

  15. I wasn't aware of it until now, but the wife is at college that Sunday, so I would be at a loose end if anyone else is thinking of going?

  16. Entered. £12 is the cheapest championship you will enter this year by a long way. Treat yourself 😅

  17. We had a pretty good turnout this morning, must have been the temptation of stickers and hats! Thanks to @Colin H, @Nicholas Rycroft and Julie for coming over from the east coast in their Westfields. I would have come in mine, but it's stuck behind a broken Skoda. Good to meet you Colin.
