  1. I used it before Xmas to draw this for our FB Social page- Here's what I asked it to draw- Bart simpson's wearing a santa costume and sunglasses in a white Westfield kit car right hand drive with a completely solid pink nose , black wheels and wide slick tyres, aero screen, no windscreen, black rear arches. driving through the alps on a snowy tarmac. Vehicle registration plate S2 OWC As you can see it's not perfect.

  3. Despite the flooding in the East Midlands we had a fantastic turnout last night! Huge thanks to everyone for coming along, with special thanks to @Delboy and Julie for bringing the chocolates (obviously we hadn't had enough chocolate over Christmas 😂).

  4. Thanks for all the info chaps👍 I put it on Gumtree and marketplace, priced it to sell at £100, got a lot of interest but most were timewasters. Eventually a guy came up from Birmingham, he tried to haggle me down🙄 I wasn’t having any of it 😂 he paid up in full and took it away 😎

  5. I've been avoiding doing much work this week, and playing with my new resin and plastic toy soldiers instead. I've treated myself to a resin model for the first time, which was a bit daunting. They're mostly a work in progress, as it's far too geeky to be allowed in the house for long! 🤣

  6. Hi all, just to let folks know there is a ‘gathering’ forming for Anglesey Track Day on Monday 15 July @ £149! This is a combination of like minded folks where we try to get as many Kits on track as possible. As always it is NOT a WSCC event it is run by Circuit Days TDO running Anglesey Coastal Circuit and smack in the middle of the summer! This also includes cars from Kit Car Blats and Kitnet so a good mix. As normal plenty of us travel up on the Sunday and camp in the Paddock with toilets etc available for free. Loads already booked on but feel free to follow the link to Circuit Days website to book and then post on here with a ‘going’ - garages are extra but useful and if you can get two adjacent you can easily get 6 cars in 2 garages. Any questions give me a shout? https://circuit-days.co.uk/anglesey-view-event-339

  8. Tomorrow’s going to be interesting. A57 shut at Dunham Bridge. A617 shut at Kelham. The only other route is via Newark which has been on the news due to the Trent bursting its banks and flooding the area. Still nothing is going to get between me and the bacon sarny. 😁. Looking forward to it as normal.

  9. Good to have a post Xmas car focused catch up with you all, despite 'low' numbers of Westies in attendance given the wet weather etc. Here's the video I watched over Xmas, discussed with some of you-

  10. That plastic sheet looks very similar to the stuff I use as a damp proof membrane from the builder's merchants. It comes in a few thicknesses, and is usually a 4m x 8m roll, iirc. It's quite substantial, but can be pierced, so be mindful of that when moving a roll about if you're working solo.

  11. This is my latest Astro madness! It’s a 150mm Hydrogen Alpha solar telescope, which shows, amongst other things, the prominences (flares) which erupt from the limb of the Sun. It has taken me probably 4 years from original idea to gathering all the right bits and then getting someone to build it for me. Solar observing needs to be done right, so it has the necessary energy rejection filters to avoid any fried eyeballs! The scope will need excellent conditions to be at its best, but when that happens it should show amazing close up views. Better when the Sun is higher in the summer. For context, the scope is about 1.5m long……
