All ready for the Peaky Blinders!! Then the entertainment arrived 🤪 Played a few silly games - @Jakejmagee won the Westfield Sports Car sponsored pass the parcel car umbrella and @Trevor Little (Trevturtle) - Treasurer won the new logo cap. I clearly wanted these but couldn’t win my own game ☹️ Thanks @westfield cars for your generosity. Bottles were won by @si_salisbury and ? (Can’t remember - part of getting old) Dinner was served and all seemed to enjoy even the Queen of Cakes @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative was caught eating a proper meal. Then the @Toybox Specialist Cars sponsored bingo stripe game. @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO and @BillyPee’s wife Sarah, won the stickers, and @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman and @ianali won the mugs. Janette, @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO’s wife won the Toybox key fob and immediately passed it on to Ian with ‘Happy Christmas’. It appears that he now has this years present. Clare would like to say thanks to @HB46443 for the flowers. Really appreciated. I thought I’d end with a few photos of the venue who did a really good job of serving us all really good food. Thanks for everyone for coming. It has set up the season brilliantly. Also thanks to @westfield cars and @Toybox Specialist Carsfor their generosity. Have fun one and all and as it is now December, I can now say HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!🎅🏻 The end.4 points

Just to add Gemma and my thanks @AndrewBClarke and Clare. We both had a lovely afternoon, the meal was great, the company was fantastic and, as you say, it has set us up for the season. It is now snowing here just to top off the festive feeling. Merry Christmas to you all and see you in the New Year. Luke.1 point

There has only been one father-and-son to have 'ironman'd' (each solo'd) the Baja 1000 desert race, and the father is the oldest to ever solo it. Off-road riding may not be your thing, but you may still appreciate, even inspired by, the stamina, skill determination and frankly balls to tackle such an event. I suspect the majority of WSCC members are in the over-50 club? But you need some time on your hands for the full story - four movie length episodes. Here's the link for the first episode...1 point

We met at Quacker's cafe car park but sadly were turned away as the pipes were frozen, so the coffee pot was empty. Here we are parked at Quacker's. Not a problem, back in the cars and off to Hassop Station cafe on the Monsal Trail, here we are parked next to the outside seating. As it didn't look like the seats were going to defrost anytime soon we decided to sit indoors. Glynn photographed great as he tucked in to his festive breakfast, a Chronut! ChristmasDoughnut, filled with custard I might add! (not his first doughnut of the day😉😁) Next we went a run and didn't it just look amazing, Higger Tor, Stanage Edge, the Hope Valley all looked great in the winter sunshine with the dusting of ice. Our route took us over Surprise View and on to the Ladybower Dam, we turned at the bottom of the Snake Pass, which was closed to vehicles over 7.5t, so I guess the conditions were bad up there. We came back through Bradwell, past Monsal Head and down into Ashford, arriving at The Crispin, Great Longstone, where Andrew and Clare welcomed us to their Christmas party. The views made it all worthwhile and the electric clothing lowered the pain level a notch or two. Here we are parked at The Crispin The afternoon was spent at the party, which is documented elsewhere and the drive home in the dark was the warmest part of the day. A fantastic day out, thank you to my understanding husband, Glen and the two Winter Warriors @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman and @Glynn Walters for coming out in such challenging conditions, much respect to you x Some more pics of Quackers cafe car park1 point

This is only true for hub-centric wheel fittings, lots of cars were designed for stud-centric wheels , MG Midget hubs as used on westfield 11s are stud centric where the wheel is located by the taper on the wheel nut .1 point
