  1. Thanks everyone for their menu choices. I have informed the venue. Blinkin big turkey required - 18 servings! Two people have had to pull out so we are now down to 30. Latecomers are still welcome but at the discretion of the venue as I have now confirmed the numbers.

  5. On my supercharged S2000, the only (engine) oil cooling comes from the bog standard Honda oil/water heat exchanger. Normal even brisk driving in summer water temps when moving are between the stat's opening point (read from ecu, so slightly lower than the normal water gauge pick up position) ~78°C and around 88°'s, in this sort of driving, the oil temp follows, a few degrees less, but once up to temp, never much less than the 78°C figure, (As it then gets warmed by the heat exchanger.) - Obviously, these are all for when moving, not for in traffic or stopped. The absolutely hardest time it has, is going up steep, very tight mountain passes* in generally warm to hot weather. Here the water temp, from memory has briefly maxed at around 108°'s on a short section of twisty bits, with oil slightly above, say around 110°'s. Both falling immediately on lifting off the throttle and under braking etc. (we're talking back below 100°'s in under a minute for both oil and water.) However, in road use terms, it's probably as ultimate a test as you will get in mainland Europe, let alone the UK. (*For reference, while I'm not going to give details on the open forum, this fantastic, 25km+ mountain road, is a private toll road, wholly contained in an access controlled huge mountain park, and is not public highway. It's a popular road with bikers, too, consideration for other road and park users needs to be given, etc, etc.)

  6. I'm blushing. I don't know everything, i just happened to be in front of my PC when I saw Ben's post for help. I've got over 30 years industrial electronics experience, so I'm usually handy with electrical fault finding. I've had great support from the members in this club and I enjoy giving back.

  7. Meet at 10am for breakfast before going on a run out around the Peak District. Where? I am just waiting for confirmation, but if there are not too many supercars visiting, then we can meet at the car museum. I will update tomorrow. EDIT - MEET AT CAR MUSEUM GREAT BRITISH CAR JOURNEY, AMBERGATE, DERBYSHIRE, DE56 2HE Weather is forecast to be cold, so Glen is highly delighted as he can try out his new electric heated jacket, let's hope it is dry too. Who is joining us? who wants to see a supermodel in a heated jacket?🤣Glen is in training as we speak😂 The finish point will be at The New Bath Hotel, Matlock Bath, DE4 3PX, which is only 5 miles away so we won't be taking the direct route!

  8. Hi all! My name is Holly, I'm 31, and I inherited a Westfield after my dad passed last year. It is a green and black wide body, with a retrofit Fireblade engine. Currently, I cannot drive it, as it is set for my dad, who was 6'1", and I am not. The car is garaged in the Midlands, but I hope to move it down to Surrey once I have somewhere to store it. My husband and I will probably have lots of questions, as we have a long list of things to do with it. Thankfully, Westfield/Chesil had your magazine on their stall at the Classic Motor Show at the NEC last weekend. I look forward to meeting some of you as time goes on!

  10. Great stuff, we met up quite a few times at the Coleshill Breakfast Meet at Dordon, fun memories! Here's a couple of the August 2021 meet I dug out. Your dad in the background with Nick, Lee, Hedley, Andy, Ben and myself. I managed to snap Nik driving off with Nick and Lee about to follow in formation.... quite timely as I'm sure it was only the following weekend when he managed to knock a big hole in the sump on a kerb, leaving a huge trail of oil at the Stoneleigh National Kitcar show! Luckily he always seemed to have a load of spare engines 😂

  11. Hi Russell, in my recent experience I wouldn’t take the numbers cast in the back of the wheel to reflect the offset (ET) my 4 wheels all had differing numbers but have physically measured all & they are ET41 - see photo for his to take the ET measurement Also a really good tool to see the effect by changing the offset & wheel / tyre width was sent to me as; https://www.willtheyfit.com/ Hope it helps. 12. Thanks Rob! Yeah, that event was a surprise to us too. We were going up the weekend after, and found out as the photos appeared. Also I was 2 weeks post knee op and on crutches... These pictures are all from the last time Dad (Nik) drove the car any distance, which was the Coleshill Breakfast Meet at the end of May 22. Last pic of Dad and the car, and one of me and him.

  13. I've only been on the forum for about 3 weeks and the generosity with information and the kindness amazes me. This has taken my feet from under me. Just WOW. I shall read it then put it back on here to pass it on to the next person interested. Many Thanks Terry. Russell.

  16. Not a particularly recent snap, but the last time this one went out properly. (and yes, it does have a front splitter. I believe there was an incident with a kerb....)
