  1. Managed to get out for a run today as I totally forgot to SORN the car. Lovely day for a spirited run I even managed to find some bugs to splatter on the front of the car.

  2. Jupiter at opposition at the moment so at its biggest and brightest. Amazingly I had a clear night last night and had some excellent views. The Great Red Spot was on show, always good to see. I managed a quick shot with my phone through the scope. Will look ok on a phone, view it from a distance on a PC otherwise it will look very grainy.

  5. Little Sunday morning blat to the Sir Peter Scott lighthouse in Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire. I had previously washed the car and put it away for the winter. Then Sunday morning came along with copious amounts of sunshine and the tax in place until the end of the month, so it had to be done! Unfortunately I now need to wash the car again as the roads were filthy... 🤣

  9. I share the storage with some friends who own some interesting toys which I help them with. We are trying to find an event to put my Westfield up against one of there slower cars as I dont fancy my chances against a 900bhp road course NASCAR.

  14. I took these photos a few days ago. It was about 35°F that morning but the sun was out. Just 24 hours later it was snowing sideways and we've gotten about 30 cm of snow since then. The car is safely stored inside waiting for the sun to come out and the temps to rise. The forecast looks pretty good for getting some more miles in later this week. Fingers crossed that the forecast is right. dave

  16. Lost _both_ rear wings on first two courses in yestarday's event (its called here ClassicautoCup, was over 120 cars!) , it was second 2-days track event this year in Wesdtfield, I felt I lost some confidence in it.. Too much driving with road Westfield, with normal speeds , in comfort... Additionaly this exact track's tamrac is really slippery even dry in twisty area. Felt like onec front lost grip, momentry rear, and viceversa. Anyway , it was real fun ! , first day open track training, second challenge, finished 2nd place in my group , was counting for more but.. that it is if You dont drive frequently enough

  17. A few more recent images, some of the Moon, Venus and a recent large Active Region on the Sun. This shows a feature called Schröter’s Valley and the bright crater is Aristarchus. This one below shows two features called the Lunar X and V, highlighted in the next image. This one is of Venus showing around half phase. Finally a very large and detailed Active Region on the Sun. It was big enough to show a a black dot when viewing the Sun with eclipse glasses. Through a decent solar scope it was amazing, about ten earth diameters across I think.
