When I was a kid, whenever we played Batman, I had to be Robin. And when we played Thunderbirds, I was Parker. Can't work out why.4 points

I love the multiverse theory, 'cos there's a chance that in at least one of them I made the occasional right choices in life once in a while...3 points

A few decades ago we were lunching at the Witchery in Edinburgh. When we were leaving Frank Bruno followed us out. I held the door open and he said 'thank you'. I suspect that he often looks back on this encounter with fond memories. D2 points

Let's hope it is not off an Airbus 😁 Sierra sounds about right, Westfield sell them for £49.99, we will need one soon as it is wearing on our car. Have fun accessing it!1 point

HT leads replaced and took the new car out for a fill up ending in a spirited drive. I’m sure I’m preaching to the converted but these cars are immense. Starting to gain a bit of confidence in the car and the 888r’s and I haven’t enjoyed a drive this much in years. All the latest cars have been turbos and I’d forgotten how good an NA car is. First one I’ve had with throttle bodies…wow! Everything, handling acceleration, sound just brilliant. I’ll be out again up to Dartmoor tomorrow before the rubbish weather descends by the weekend. It’s made my mind up to get some more suitable tyres for the cooler weather and I’m thinking uniroyal rain sport 5s in 195/50/15, the 888s are 205. Didn’t really want to buy another set of wheels but I think it will be less hassle for me in the long run if I do. Demon tweeks seem to be the best value for wheel/tyre packages or does anyone have any better suggestions? A pic of my two, both great cars and a lot of fun but the Westy is way more fun. Wish I’d bought one years ago! Roll on tomorrow!1 point

It perhaps helps if you know the differences on how open and biased diffs operate, see here for a quick overview. https://catdrivertraining.co.uk/car-blog/limited-slip-differentials/ Whilst your concept is correct , it will depend on the surface on which you are driving and the torque applied to the tyres. LSD's have huge benefits on dry smooth surfaces, but on wet or slippy surfaces both tyres see the same level of grip they will simply drive the car forward, overstep the power applied during this phase will and it cause oversteer ( on a RWD) . Rally drivers use this with huge benefits in gravel stages for instance, since you can "steer" the car with power , rather than using the steering wheel which may cause understeer. With all that said, as long as you know what the car will do with an LSD in the wet , then it can be very entertaining, but get caught out or not expect sudden oversteer then you may have a bad day. I swapped from a locked diff to an open one, whilst it's easier to drive or maneuver at slow speed with it, it has ruined my oversteer on demand, which I quite liked sometimes.1 point

I'm fascinated, do other people dream about these things as well?.....I thought it was just me and Brian Cox!😄1 point

🤣🤣🤣 I forgot about that! Despite the u-turns and that awful road up to Dunkery Beacon, you did a grand job 👏🏼 Really enjoyed it & looking forward to the next one 👌🏼1 point

Thanks pal, you aren’t a million miles away, seem to be a few owners around here. Good to hear about the uniroyals, thought about all season tyres but I’ll want to use the 888s summertime. Hopefully see you about sometime.👍1 point

At the Thursday pub meet Del mentioned he might be heading to Curborough in the TR6 with Paul in the VX220. I left it quite late to commit to going due to recovering from the dreaded manflu! Taking the normal route past the National Memorial Arberetum I realised that the annual Ride to the Wall motorbike event was happening that day. Getting home would take over twice as long due to the traffic jams created by over 5,000 motorbikes making the annual pilgrimage to the Wall of Remembrance. Its quite an event to behold! Landing at Curborough, Colin and I found Lee already parked up and Micheal (of Burton Car Club) was also there. Wandering up to the cafe we spotted Dan's Westfield, Derek's TR6 and Paul's VX220 Turbo. The car park was full of stunning motors.... The paddock was equally interesting Simon Green's Redtop powered Westfield was out on track with some Caterhams and a very nice Busa engined Fury. It was a very varied field being the HSA sprint, from dedicated track cars like Formula Fords, Jedi and Radicals to classic Mini's and modern Porsches and BMW's.1 point

Sorry we can't make this one as I'm working plus the Westy failed it's MOT today when the handbrake cable snapped during the test.😒 Just got to find out what the cable is off. I think it might be a Ford Sierra cable.0 points
