  1. Here is a somewhat amateurish video of the short trip from Tesco to Re:fuel. I’m still learning the Insta360 software as you can see 🤪

  2. Slight technical hick up. Throttle stuck open due to a frayed accelorator cable. Glad it was on a long stretch of A road not the twistys later in the day. Big thanks to th AA guy who got me underway. Lack of tools prevented me from using my choke cable to sort it. Sore this morning after 278miles in the seat yesterday

  3. Excellent morning, thanks all for coming along. It was really good to meet you all, familiar faces plus plenty of new ones. Some pics and videos of today. I’ll see if there is anything on my Insta360 although it wasn’t behaving very well so I think it missed quite a lot ☹️. For those who weren’t there, I met Matt, Adge and Rory (who came down from Bristol) at Illminster Services, then Matt led us on a very nice route over the Blackdown Hills to meet the others at Tesco Cullompton, before heading into Re:Fuel. We had ten Westies and a Mini which was an excellent turnout. After a very nice breakfast and a natter, Adge then headed a group of six of us on a little tour north ending at Ralegh’s Cross Inn for a warming cuppa. We then all headed home our different ways; I went back to Crewkerne via Taunton, ending at just over 100 miles for the day. Thanks all 👍

  4. It's surprising who/what you find at your local car museum on a Friday evening. The beautiful red Westfield is what was Andy and Ann's car, it now belongs to Kevin? a new WSCC member who we hope to see more of in the Peak District. Hope you got home ok in the pitch black, doesn't it go dark early now?

  5. It made me chuckle watching you all reverse into your spots at the end in fast forward speed, very balletic 😂

  9. 😀 my new one came the wrong ‘hand’. Phoned them up to complain and was told to undo the holding nuts and rotate. Did as they said and all fine.

  13. Been caught out a few times with that ( although mine snapped), ended up fitting two cables instead of the one it came with. Even with two I carry a spare in the boot - once bitten and all that...

  20. It’s a home made hood, works quite well in the rain but only when I have my temporary windscreen fitted 👍🏼

  22. I wear a shark helmet. It has pin lock and the anti fog insert came with it. It has a drop down sun visor but I have tried it with sunglasses as it’s advertised as having cutouts for glasses. No dramas at all and still fairly comfy to wear for a full day of blatting. I did go to a large biking gear shop and tried a few helmets on. It is a bike helmet rather than a car one but still works well in a car. After having a large moth hit me in the visor at a good speed I can only imagine I would have binned the car off the road without it. I’m also running aeroscreen with cage so welcome to the club.

  23. I will have to see that sometime especially as we both call our car by the same name! @Matt_S

  24. Whose is the orange Westie at the Shell Station with the full cage? I like the roof or whatever the correct term is. Does it actually keep you dry in rain without a windscreen?
