Excellent morning, thanks all for coming along. It was really good to meet you all, familiar faces plus plenty of new ones. Some pics and videos of today. I’ll see if there is anything on my Insta360 although it wasn’t behaving very well so I think it missed quite a lot ☹️. For those who weren’t there, I met Matt, Adge and Rory (who came down from Bristol) at Illminster Services, then Matt led us on a very nice route over the Blackdown Hills to meet the others at Tesco Cullompton, before heading into Re:Fuel. We had ten Westies and a Mini which was an excellent turnout. After a very nice breakfast and a natter, Adge then headed a group of six of us on a little tour north ending at Ralegh’s Cross Inn for a warming cuppa. We then all headed home our different ways; I went back to Crewkerne via Taunton, ending at just over 100 miles for the day. Thanks all 👍5 points

I wear a shark helmet. It has pin lock and the anti fog insert came with it. It has a drop down sun visor but I have tried it with sunglasses as it’s advertised as having cutouts for glasses. No dramas at all and still fairly comfy to wear for a full day of blatting. I did go to a large biking gear shop and tried a few helmets on. It is a bike helmet rather than a car one but still works well in a car. After having a large moth hit me in the visor at a good speed I can only imagine I would have binned the car off the road without it. I’m also running aeroscreen with cage so welcome to the club.2 points

Aye, I'd be visiting Denis Vessey first, I think to 100% confirm he can connect to, and map, the ecu.1 point

Hi dave. If i went that route it be costly and i would need to possibly change the ecu out too.1 point

Hi. Thought you may enjoy some pics of my new daily. Having covered a minuscule 13,500 miles in the last 3 years I returned my lease car to Audi last month. Then decided that with such low annual mileage now was a good time for a silly daily car. It’s a 718 Cayman T300 PDK. Only had it since Monday but loving it so far!1 point

I was on the lookout for a seven 4 years ago when I joined the forum but life got in the way for some reason, as it does! I think it’s been worth the wait though. Deposit paid to a fantastic guy near Swansea and the car is coming home on the 7th Oct…happy days! I’ve also realised at 57 I’m not as flexible, or slim as I thought I was but I fit thankfully. Never thought I’d be limbo dancing at my age. A few things to get sorted for the 7th so I’ll be asking a few questions. At least for this first year I plan to try and use it through the winter on dry non salty days and see how I get on. Let the fun begin!1 point

Hi Andrew. I would do it but i have only just managed to start replacing the tps sensor on the throttle body. And on these sigmas its a pain in the rear doing it with only one pair of hands. Also the loom going to the tps sensor needs repairing now as the cabling looks corroded where is has previously been spliced back. This may have been my problem all along. Sorry bud. Martin0 points

No responses so I assume everyone is hiding from the forecast of a slight chance of rain and doesn’t want a trip out in their Westfield’s. I’ll wait till 5pm tonight before cancelling just in case you need more time to make your minds up and if no one comes forward I’ll plan something else to do on Sunday. Hope someone wants to join in.0 points
