I was on the lookout for a seven 4 years ago when I joined the forum but life got in the way for some reason, as it does! I think it’s been worth the wait though. Deposit paid to a fantastic guy near Swansea and the car is coming home on the 7th Oct…happy days! I’ve also realised at 57 I’m not as flexible, or slim as I thought I was but I fit thankfully. Never thought I’d be limbo dancing at my age. A few things to get sorted for the 7th so I’ll be asking a few questions. At least for this first year I plan to try and use it through the winter on dry non salty days and see how I get on. Let the fun begin!1 point

That looks like quite a large stone to do that. Windscreens don't seem to be a big issue to be honest but with the lack of maintenance on the roads and waste tipper trucks who these days seem to make no effort to clean their wheels, I suspect it will be a growing issue. Just a thought for you, if you go aero screen will you always wear a crash helmet as that stone would do some damage to your face1 point

Just a bit of their garage, it’s a massive shed but bits partitioned off. 2 post lift, works on motorbikes, off-road bike engine buggies. He also had an R8 V10 with the one of the loudest exhausts I think I’ve ever heard. Lovely people and was a good day out!1 point

I think that you have been unlucky. Our Westfield is 20 years old and has done almost 70,000 miles, we replaced the windscreen last year because it was pitted.1 point

A few of us braved it through the dampness to attend a local cars and coffee in holbeach at the A17 motel. About 100 plus cars plus us. A nice meeting and a lot of interest as usual plus Bacon sarnies. In attendance were GaryD1971, Bigfoot. Spacedoggy and me. On a side note i do feel a bit different not having a yellow car lol. Westfield tool kit also came out but to fix an old defender. Hero GaryD1971 saved the day.1 point

Love this. I was wondering what to do with my spare metal bonnet badge and how to get rid of my yellow Momo steering wheel centre. This is the perfect solution!1 point

I've just ordered my 4th windscreen in 3 years! Ok, so I admit I broke the first one myself during the build by over-tightening the grub screws that hold the screen in place, but the rest have just been on random drives. Here's this morning's effort, just from a stone getting flicked up from the car in front: I've been thinking about switching to an aeroscreen since having the cage fitted, I'm still undecided but the photo below gives me food for thought! So have I been unlucky or have others had issues with screens seeming to easily break?0 points

I’ve bought a screen from another WSCC member as you never replied to my messages. Good luck with your sale.0 points
