Coming back from losing last week @Andy Westwood took his usual top position of Cake Meister with his triple ice cream. It's no good licking your lips Sue, you aint getting near itπ But before that happened we 11 cars met at Hulme End (Billy parked out of shot) Luke had a healthy breakfast After snax and chats we set off on the back lanes up, down and round to arrive at Quacker's cafe for lunch. Luke had eaten enough and left us here to attend to his new ducks, quack quack. Quacker's cafe car park At Quacker's The healthy lunches came pouring out Then Vikki had a great idea, we needed ice cream from that farm place. Off we went to Adam's Happy Hen's. Though Lee had done really well, giving his car a shake down after major refurbishment, he headed off for home. Leaving us, Glynn, Steve and Vikkis and the 3 Andy's. Parked at the farm @AndrewBClarke provided some of the competition and @aeg put up a fight too I hope you all enjoyed the route, the quiet roads and the destinations, see you all next Sunday. We will be attempting to resurrect the Multi Area Meet and go to The Strines, if the sun wants to join us, it will be made welcome. Check the events section later and I will post it up. Thanks for coming everyone, it's been glorious.10 points

Its 2,5l M52 as I was told. I am not familiar to BMW's, and not really fan of them , but it is what it is, saw the asdvert on Locostbuilders, talked to seller , price was very fair, so... Heard that diffs, gearboxes, engines are robust, and lot of aftermarket know-how and solutions for those . My dream would be to put somehow Alfa V6 Busso engine from my 1562,5v6 I still have (chassis starts to rust, but engine is in great condition) in seven-type chassis. Maybe in this GKD/DMO ? But not sure it this is possible , dimmensions, engine orientation, sump modification, somehow adapter plate to BMW gearbox... Yes BMW inline R6 engine looks huge in the chassis, but I need to take it out with gearbox anyway (no clutch installed etc) so will be easy to put brake, fuel etc lines. No panels should make this plumbing easier. What worries me much is an oil sump - rear part sticking down, and only 10-11cm away from road. Have to look if there are some aftermarket shallow sumps or other solutions to that . Want to make it road car, not track so ride height for slipping policeman etc cant be too low. As for build thread, I am not systematic enough to run such thread, never did so far... , I admire those who do it ! But maybe I will try, anyway this GKD/DMO Legend 6 must wait, as I am trying to finish before winter other project - MNR Vortx with CBR1000rr engine (there is plenty of room around engine in this case ) .5 points

Great run out. I am really glad I tagged along for the run around the Staff's/Derbyshire border. I don't know how you manage to avoid the traffic. After I left you I got stuck in Bakewell, then Rowsley and even East Moor was busy. Lovely day for a drive and great to see everyone again. Thanks Andy W for the use of your sunscreen. Luke.2 points

If you want the best rear diffuser for an FW then you need to contact Andrew Mellor at AJM. There is probably much less of a lead time. you can find Andy and Jo here https://www.facebook.com/CarbonAJMDesigns2 points

Planning on keeping the BMW lump? Is that a 2.5 or 2.8? Going to be fun fitting the plumbing around that.... Got to be worth a build thread of its own.1 point

It's about 4 months wait for carbon parts, one man business. Never been disappointed with the quality. There is an edging from CBS that finishes of thin panels perfectly with non setting glue inside and good for 2mm thick panels, I've used loads of it over the years.1 point

Unfortunately don't need one, they're a common enough part to get hold of, the bracket not so easy. I have a new reservoir on order if it ever gets here π1 point
