Yes, 1700cc XFlow, twin 40's etc very old school ! MOT now passed, will Tax on Friday morning, and back on the road after 17 years. Still lots of tidying up to be done, but that can be done over the next few months. I'm based in Poole. Barry.2 points

Sorry, just seen this reply (shame) I'm going to create something for it. I was round it last night.. Takes by the sat nav estimate 3.5hrs. Did it in 3hrs. It really is the best proper driving roads I've been on anywhere in 40yrs driving. From open flowing A roads, country roads that go on for ever, pennine switch backs, airborne if your brave enough.. Naaaa. There's plenty of fuel stops, food stops and rest points if that's what you want. Watch this space I'll drop a link to it.2 points

Hi Jared, Your son is likely to get the V5 for his car he's planning to part ex in less than a week. The Β£300 fee is fair. He could either delay collection of his new car until the V5 arrives or ask the dealer to confirm receipt of his car in writing on collection day. The V5 isn't proof of ownership it's proof of registered keeper. Once you get the V5 you can transfer ownership to the dealer online.2 points

I would suggest that you get a structural engineer to do calculations on modifications as even the brick pillars will need strengthening. Any structural modification like this will need at the least building regs. approval and a possible visit on completion. Additionally if anything should happen, even out of your control, your insurance would drop you like a hot potato.1 point

Sold, and as predicted on its way to France1 point

This sounds exactly the same as my garage. I looked into doing a similar thing, as I only use one of the garage doors. The other is blocked off. I want to move the pillar over a couple of feet, then brick up the smaller gap and have a larger single garage door. I can only just get a car through the door that is there now. My builder said it would need an RSJ to span the gap as the wood beams that are there won't support the load. I need a structural engineer to work out what size it needs to be, so I've left it as it is for now. Apparently, a new kitchen is more urgent than a garage door.1 point

Another great day today!, a couple of showers but nothing major. The international pits are a pleasure to walk around with close access to some precious metal π We had about the same WSCC turnout as yesterday so thank you all who attended and also those who helped set up and breakdown we canβt do it without you all π I bumped into my mate Jezza this aft as well π also got to meet Jodie Kidd who was interviewing Jezza and Ant Antstead with his glorious Redford and very unusual mx5 based Tipo184 π1 point

Hi, first post. Built this car over 20 years ago, sold it after a year, and bought it back last year ! Just spent the last few months sorting out and re-commissioning all the mechanics after not being on the road for the past 17 years. Picture taken this week just before it was taken for a pre MOT check over, and MOT test next week. Looking forward to getting behind the wheel again after all these years ! Barry.1 point
