  2. Inspired by @AndrewBClarke's great 4 day blat over the weekend. I decided to head out early yesterday(before 6am) and ended up covering 397 great miles over 12.5 hours (I did stop in for Coffee @CosKev) on the way home). First half of the run- Thanks to @David Bennett for sharing a route he'd done earlier this year, which formed part of my morning. I particularly enjoyed this part- 2nd half of the run- Looking moody over Snowdonia but not a drop of rain fell! Craig Goch Dam Lunch break- Pen y Garreg Dam The Dam baguss fan club- Damn reversing! Mainly light or no traffic. It's probably the longest I've driven in a Westfield in a day and it didn't feel like a chore. Though I did sleep well last night !

  4. Our leader @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative is on holiday again but I still need my Westfield fix so does anyone else fancy getting together for a bit of fun?? Meet at Matlock McD (DE4 3AU) for their excuse for a coffee and a tyre kick at 10am and then off on the small roads to The Rambler Inn, Edale (S33 7ZA) for a hearty lunch. If anyone is still with us, after lunch heading to The Fountain Tea Rooms, Bonsall (DE4 2AA) to top up with cake before setting off home. Weather forecast seems good so who is coming?? In a slight diversion to the norm, if anyone wants a gpx copy of the route for their TomTom, I’ll try to post it on the forum nearer the time. Obviously weather dependent.

  7. Hi Everyone! Just a friendly reminder about the benefits you get with us for being part of the club. Access to our bespoke club schemes and UP TO 15% discount with various insurers - as a broker insurer discounts on our panel do vary for club members so there is no set discount but we will always offer the best price for the cover needed regardless of who is offering the higher discount, because an insurer with 15% discount may still be more expensive that another offering 10% or one of our bespoke club only schemes which are really competitive. All you need to do to make sure any available club benefits are applied to your quotation is mention WSCC when we ask how you heard about us or if you're a member of any car clubs As always. here if you need me! 01635 874646 www.facebook.com/aplanspecialist

  8. Ian you are making me jealous , you just did a tour of the roads i learnt to drive on and visited almost every member of my family . The part you really enjoyed was a lot better before EVO magazine poularised it and the authorities lowered the speed limit and put average speed cameras on it.

  10. Spare accelerator pedal for me. This one has less of an offset to the right, and I will try to bend it so as to reduce the height vs the brake. If I mess up, I’ll still have the original!

Thanks for another great day out guys , it’s been a long time But it all came flooding back, I think @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative should be renamed Storm-chaser it’s not the first time she’s took us into doom and gloom. Not long after this photo it got mildly moist 🙄 see you soon Andy & Becky

  14. Although I had booked us in for 10am the car park was chock full of scooters. They were booked in for 8am and should have left by 10am, we parked up in the overflow car park, it was weird though, in the space of less than 5 minutes they all suddenly got on the scooters and disappeared, what a fantastic sight/sound/smell/experience.. The cafe now empty, that was time for breakfast. Richard Usher (owner) came over to welcome us with an instruction to bring @Nick Algar with us next time. Perhaps if we have a committee meeting at the New Bath Hotel we could combine the two activities. Here we are tucked away in the overflow car park, hopefully next time we can display in front of the museum as planned 15 cars, well done you amazing lot for coming out on a forecast of showers, thank you. We got one shower while we were in the cafe and another one on the run out as we entered Bakewell. Here is Richard Ushers car one of only 9 left out of 1800 originally manufactured, the museum is full of interesting facts not normally found in car museums where they just show an example of the older more expensive rarities. We took to the back roads, totally missed out Matlock Bath which might be full of scooters by now 😆 and landed at Quackers cafe Andy kept up tradition with the cherry and almond blondie We sat and chatted for a good long while enjoying the currently dry atmosphere Welcome to the new members, I hope you felt included enough, we are a friendly lot and have no problem talking. It has been great to be back out on a club run after what seems an age, thanks for coming everyone.
