  1. Few photos of our drive around the Peaks yesterday. Views above Hope valley on the way down to Castleton. 130miles of mostly traffic free driving 😎

  6. Must disagree about the Alfa Romeo, no drips on my garage floor, a crossflow though. Now that's a different story.

  7. Most emphatically not worthy of a picture, but spent 3 very long and challenging days replacing the roof on what is somewhat grandly called the conservatory. Still got lots of finishing up to do, not least putting a bunch of windows back in, but at least the basic roof structure is on. Never was the phrase “I’m too old for this shizz” more apt. We’ve been waiting about a fortnight for a spell of dry weather to do the job, and when it arrived, it turned into 3 days of relentless baking sun. I sweated off 7 lbs…. (Yes, I know I’m a fat get, but still). The general aches, pains, abrasions and blisters, along with the sunburn of course, are OK, but my treacherous lower back, has, naturally stabbed me in the, well, back, so that’ll be a few months getting to where it was last week.

  11. Hi, I'll be doing the normal A38/A50 (DE65 6DX) pre meet and convoy at about 9am for a 920am depart. Sadly, the route to the GBCJ isn't the best so will be A38 and A6. If you are coming that way, feel free to come along 👍

  12. Arrived early enough to get front row parking. Amount of exotics present was amazing. And only 2 rain showers despite the constant threat of more...

  16. I got out again today, 2 days in a row now, very pleased. I only popped up to Castle Combe circuit which isn't too far from home. There was a 6th Gear driving day going on, some very nice, very expensive exotica been driven on track. I forgot to take a picture of my car in the paddock but took this as proof...... Why is it proof? Well look very, very closely and tell me what you see! 😂

  17. Price reduced to £9,000. If it doesn't sell, it's not meant to be and I'll happily keep hold of her. At least I can tell the wife I tried. 😃

  19. Inspired by @AndrewBClarke's great 4 day blat over the weekend. I decided to head out early yesterday(before 6am) and ended up covering 397 great miles over 12.5 hours (I did stop in for Coffee @CosKev) on the way home). First half of the run- Thanks to @David Bennett for sharing a route he'd done earlier this year, which formed part of my morning. I particularly enjoyed this part- 2nd half of the run- Looking moody over Snowdonia but not a drop of rain fell! Craig Goch Dam Lunch break- Pen y Garreg Dam The Dam baguss fan club- Damn reversing! Mainly light or no traffic. It's probably the longest I've driven in a Westfield in a day and it didn't feel like a chore. Though I did sleep well last night !

  20. Meet at Great British Car Journey Ltd, Ambergate, Derbyshire, DE56 2HE at 10am. Breakfast rolls and drinks will be available in the cafe. There is also a Museum Members meet on so there will be other interesting cars to look at, plus the 'Drive Dad's Car Experience' will be running so you will be able to watch classics from the 70's and 80's drive slowly past around the site. If the weather stays fine there will be the option for WSCC members to come on a run around the Peak District, current forecast is dry in the morning, possible showers later. The previously planned Multi Area Meet is best saved for a day with a better forecast as people are travelling a good distance, so please look out for it in the coming weeks. I would be grateful if you can let me know if you intend to come on this as I have to let the museum know an idea of numbers as it helps with their planning. After a long absence due to the rain we are looking forward to it, are you?

  23. I normally turn it back the right way going through towns and villages to avoid looking like a complete kn*b 🤣, but it does reduce lift! I did lose one cresting a bridge over a motorway once, it flew quite a long way! Must remember though when I take the doors off….

  27. I haven't payed the subscription to browse the forum. I paid it to be part of the Westfield community physically. Go on runs out when the time is right etc. I've no problem with the subscription charge on that basis. Is there no more trial membership? Ps kingster the site is just my cup of tea actually, better than crash.net.

  28. I've just googled it for further clarification 👍 ''What is a club membership? A membership club is a member-based organization that is composed of people with similar interests and offers benefits to the members such as products, services, exclusive access, or discounts. It is managed by an elected committee and runs with the collection of monthly or annual subscription fees.''

  29. Good evening, Mr C While I agree with the convenience of being able to look at anything and everything being a lovely thing... I do find myself often irritated by the plethora of freely available stuff online that, on vaguely closer inspection, lacks depth and quality. So, what you refer to as "cough up" is around £28 per year! 28! I think it costs me more to fill the tank of my toy. Yes, I do use it as my daily, but even I have to concede that it is a toy. A toy that makes £28pa look like a very, very cheap entry fee to a very, very high value knowledge/fan/like-minded people base.
