Hello all, Just an introduction. After a long sabbatical from my last 2 seater indulgance (S1 Lotus Elise) I will hopefully pick up my first westfield next week to once again "scratch the itch" before I am way too old. I sold the Lotus with the intention of trying something different but.... someone in the family had better ideas and the proceeds turned into a new kitchen anyway, 13 years down the line a new toy will grace the garage in a few days Looking forward to some meets (I see the Yorkshire AO lives literally just down the hill from me!) and outings soon. Regards, Martin5 points

Great write up, looks like you had a fun time despite the weather! Definitely something I'd love to do in the Westfield, brilliant roads and stunning scenery ๐3 points

Both are rammed full of intrusive pop up ads that appear as you try and read an article which makes it hard to actually read anything. Really pees me off. As soon as I go on any site that has that much advertising I just close it and look elsewhere. But each to their ownโฆ2 points

Results below as per norm. I hope everybody was OK especially Alex, I heard the outer circuit was a bit tricky over the weekend. The weather's been particularly unkind I know but hopefully you still had a fairly good time. Blyton R15 - Sat Results Blyton R16 - Sun Results Tiggs2 points

Thanks Dave Yep-sent him a pm-hopefully he will see it! Quite a big Westie following down here in the clubbie scene. I've had 4 over the years together with PRB, Caterham and Leitch (NZ built) and currently have a 62 series 2 Lotus 7 in the garage. Might be an idea to see if there is any interest in a clubbie 'reciprocity' holiday exchange between Aus/UK where the cars are available to each other? Cheers Rick2 points

Finally got some decent weather to get out and take some photos of my new car. Iโve already undertaken some minor cosmetic changes to the car; new Ford and ST170 badges to the rear, removed the stick on front plate and replaced with a smaller standard type plate (thanks @Flying Carrot Steve) and Iโve fitted a new Westfield front grill & bonnet badge. living ownership, Al2 points

Part 2. Roll of Honour. @simon walton in his people carrier. Well organised. Thank you. @Stuart in his BMW M240i @SteveB21 in his F type @Andy Westwood and Sue in their Hyundai i40. Sorry no photo of the car. ๐คช Now some random photos of the group, views, and obviously my car ๐ About 900 miles in โchallengingโ UK weather. Eaten far too much. Gave up competing with @Andy Westwood on the cake front. But a really good time. Iโm off for a long sleep nowโฆโฆโฆ2 points

Part 1 In the end there were 5 cars but only one of them was a Westfield. The pre departure weather forecast was absolutely horrendous so the sensible ones came in their Tin tops. For us, the trip started on the Friday with a 240 mile trip from Lincolnshire to North Wales. Weather was dodgy but started off without roof but soon had to revert to plan b and put the half hood on. Left home at 10 and with bad traffic etc we arrived at about 5.30 ๐ The others we already there so we all got together for an evening meal at the hotel. Saturday was forecast to be interesting but not to be perturbed we simply put on the half hood again ๐คช The route was split into 4 - before cake & coffee, before lunch, before afternoon cake and tea and before evening meal. Roughly 200 miles of fantastic puddle splashing. Surprisingly, even with Storm Antoni, the roof came off for some of the afternoon. The others were probably relieved that they had come in cars with roofs!! Sunday was again planned around 4 routes totalling 200 miles. So after a full English, we set off again but without the roof on (until a downpour made us change our plans). On Monday, it was time to come back to the real world and in typical style, the weather was fine do no roof for the long trip home. Continued in part 22 points

Hi Robin, Thanks for the welcome. I'm up the top of Bullerthorpe Lane at Colton so kind of up hill from Woodlesford I think ๐ I should be able to make the Buffers meet for sure and probably the Darrington too.1 point

Good to see you again Paul. Hey what's that amazingly gorgeous orange machine in the background? Best looking thing I've ever seen ๐1 point

Yes @Alex Gaskin, I live pretty local to Swithland so itโs only a stones throw from me or if you take the long way round itโs a good 1/2 hour or so and a fantastic drive ๐1 point

Another Swithland Reservoir enjoyer, I think that's 3 cars in this thread who have been there to take photos!1 point

A moist car was the understatement, while Hedley used a cup to bail his seats out I thought Iโd cup my hands for a quicker way. Thankfully the sun came out in the end and dried the car out then myself, Glynn and Tim were the only ones left. A wander round the pits and then greeted by an ice cream van, obviously itโs rude not to try one in the now better weather ๐1 point
