Can anyone recommend a welder in the Derby area? I have a few cracks (at the edge of the existing welds) on the front and on the steady bracket of my stainless exhaust can that I need to get fixed. Any advice much appreciated. Raymond1 point

Hi Stu, I'm north of Bristol and in Chris Broster's crew so may be able to join in from time to time. We were only talking on his Bristol and Bath WhatsApp group earlier today about getting various groups together for meets so I'm very interested to see what you manage to organise. My personal opinion is multi-group coordination is the way forward. It can only lead to better things for all us kit car owners 👍👍1 point

I’ve been keeping this going, up to 2670 now, just 30 more to do today. Then only 4 more days to go but I think it will try to carry it on if I can. Overall sponsorship is now over £200 which is fab 👍1 point

My car has a standard floor and I went from standard to tall windscreen and it was the best (expensive!) decision I made. It means that I'm now looking normal through the windscreen instead of hunching down to ignore the top of the windscreen in my line of sight. I'm 6'5 for reference and I have shell seats that are mounted to the floor as low as they can be. If you can afford it, do it. The mounting points are the same (or very similar) from memory. If you haven't fit a screen yet, you may want to change the angle a little bit, but I just re-used the same mounting holes and as a result doors and deflectors are fitting the same way as before too.1 point

I was actually largely dry - apart from the right shoulder which always catches the spray... Until I had to wait outside the child minder's for a quarter of an hour. During which it went from just "rain" to Noah casting off. I got home, got changed and got a second soaking with the dogs. Off to the pool now - good job I like water.1 point

The weather on Sunday is not going to be kind to us according to tonight's forecast so we might as well postpone this event until it improves when we can really enjoy a good day out. Sorry folks, stay posted for a new date.0 points
