  4. I use the tonneau 95% of the time, even leaving the car over night, outside. The exceptions, where I will use the shower cap over the top. (Due to the paddling pool effect ably demonstrated in Marcus’s photo, I’d never use the shower cap without either the tonneau or full roof on, underneath) are; car parked outside and either heavy rain predicted, or heavy winds and anything above light/moderate rain. Or, occasions when the car is parked for a long period, overnight etc on the street or particularly public place. In which case I’ll put the shower cap on, regardless of weather, as it helps keep prying eyes out the car. - and you’d be surprised how effective that generally is. The tonneau cover also gets used when driving solo, it keeps a lot of the turbulence out of the passenger side of the car, and makes a big difference. Works just as well like this with aeroscreen or windscreen, side screens or wind deflectors. And lastly, parked up in the sort of hot weather we’ve had recently, with intense sun shining down on the car, I’ll flip the drivers side of the tonneau back on, even if I don’t do up all the poppers. It keeps the sun off the drivers seat, and avoids melting the back of your legs etc when you climb back in!

  7. I have been going since 2000, always camped, generally there are between 8 and 12 of us attend, we think we’ve got it down to a fine art ie. still got ice for a G&T on a Sunday night! We usually go overnight from Portsmouth on the Wednesday and return Monday evening, variety of vehicles but definitely need a support vehicle to get the larger stuff in. We visit the local shops on the Thursday when we get there and don’t have to leave site again unless we go to Arnage for a coffee. We don’t have electric hook-up they are few and far between. Pictured are some of the guys resting!!!

  9. My eldest daughter (still only 14), was the super anxious girl at junior school who couldn't even partake in school plays or residential trips and it got her so anxious she would be very teary and nervous has now completely changed into a very confident girl who just gets on with whatever is thrown at her. She is a young leader at her local Scout group and she has a job interview tomorrow to try and earn some cash through summer holidays. I have some great photos of her a couple of years ago when we were in Thailand and she just looked so relaxed and happy getting involved with the locals. I will encourage her to travel before she settles down if this is what she wants to do. However her idea of travel won't involve a bike!!!!
