  1. Richard Burgess has kindly offered to step up to be a Joint Area Organiser with me for the Kent area. Rich does alot already with route planning and helping organising and things are growing fast in the South East! We have a few ideas to do a bit more than just the monthly breakfast meets in the future. So watch this space! If you have an suggestions, events, trips away, days out etc let us know…. Nice one Rich 👌

  3. Make that 3 new recruits then??? The wife is away wasting her time in London at a 'Take That' concert so I'm aiming to be there, albeit with the youngest 10yr old daughter who I believe is probably being used as a secret mole to report back with any excess accelerating 😉 🤣. Fingers crossed I will be there!!

  4. 1998 Westfield SEW Aerorace - road going competitive sprint, hillclimb and trackday car A road legal Lightweight Aerorace SEW chassis and an engine built with wide torque band and punchy top end. This car excels on the racetrack but is also a pleasure to hustle down the backroads. Having owning the car since 2018, this already championship winning vehicle has since helped me secure 1st in class victories in 2018,2020 and 2021 and as well as overall champion places of 2nd in 2018,2020 and 2021. Following a chassis up refresh in 2015 the car has been maintained and worked on by Northampton Motorsport. Over 15k has been spent on development in the few years to increase performance, reliability and make it suitable for large GP tracks such as Silverstone, Spa and the Nürburgring. 15. Sort of thread hijack, but relevant I feel.... I posted above that a well sorted x-flow is a pretty good match for more powerful cars.....a trip out over the weekend accompanied by a 420 Caterham gave some very complimentary feedback.....'what the devil have you got in that thing' for example.....! Just 'cos its old' doesn't mean its not fun and very quick.... Mart.

  19. Thank you all for another great run through the Peaks 👍 Us Southerns have to leave early so it’s breakfast on the move 😋 but needs must ( Becky gets a lie in and I don’t have to make breakfast) Arrived at Quackers bang on time and the cars carried on coming. Unfortunately no pics here as Becky is nursing a bad back and after extracting her from the car it was off to get a cuppa and a few painkillers 🤒 Here’s a few taken along the way to Ilam The parking I agree did turn into a fiasco but the parking attendants instructions weren’t very clear !! But the photos do look nice . Lunch was lovely in the garden ( we were all hiding in the shade),but then Cake arrived at the party!!!! feel free to add your own thoughts/ caption well the forecast was rain late on so everyone started to move and we followed @Rob Hunter Derby & Notts AO& @HB46443 back home via the A515 Along the way it was another fuel stop for Hedley (boy the little fella can drink) and then we carried on our journey south, we bid farewell to him at Tamworth and finished our trip all alone 🙁 see you next time take care luv Andy & Becky

  21. I honestly didn’t think this day would come, but it’s time for a change, so my beloved Westy is up for grabs. Built by myself in 2014 and registered in 2015 on Q with all the advantages that bestows, it has been extensively upgraded during the last 8 years, as many on here will no doubt know! The car has 15,920 miles on it, with 700 of those in June this year hooning around the highlands. It was MOT’d earlier this month with no advisories (expires June 2024). As well as several highland flings, the car has been around the Alps and completed more than a few trackdays, so it really is a fabulous all-rounder. This car has never been one for gentle Sunday drives to the cake shop and it is certainly not a “show car” - expect to see signs of use! However, it is an absolute joy to drive fast and although it will suit someone who is into blatting around twisty country lanes and trackdays, as I have proved, it is certainly a very capable ‘grand tourer’ if you are up for it. With 378bhp per tonne, it goes very well (555kg @ 209.7bhp) The current spec: Engine and Drivetrain: 2.0 litre Blacktop Zetec (new crate engine 2016) on throttle bodies with Dunnell ZRV Cams mapped to 180.9 bhp at the wheels (209.7bhp crank) by Daytuner in Harrogate, runs like an absolute dream!
