The west coast of Scotland can’t be beat

On Thu 22nd June @Greenstreak-Andy D @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman @Stu Faulkner and I, commence a 12 day road trip to Austria and Italy. We've got a new hotel to try in Austria (previous one is great, but we don't really need a Spa/Boutique Hotel). The plan was to travel back from Verona by train. However two weeks after booking the Train. Urlaub Express kindly advised due to staff shortage and training issues, they can't safely load us in Verona and we've now got to drive back to Innsbruck. It would have been a circa 2hr drive to Verona, and is now 8hrs to Innsbruck, which kills our last day in Italy, however the show must go on. Hence we're not going to Verona but the trip name remains. Unlike previous trips, we've not doing a long 3 day drive home via France or Germany, we're taking the train in and out - Duesseldorf - Innsbruck and Innsbruck to Duesseldorf @Stu Faulkner has got twice the power as last year and @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman has added additional hardware to keep his silencer on We're all busy checking the cars overs, finalising waypoints and preparing to pack. Updates will follow..........................

I would like to wish all my freinds have made over the 20+ years as WSCC member 16 years as the Lancashire AO a fond farewell, my membership is up for renewal and have decided its time to move on, I have my Honda S2000 and I plan to get a few jobs done on my Focus RS Mk1 and put her back on the road, should have more time now I am retired. Elena and myself have had some wonderful times in a Westfield, 4 Coast to Coast trips, a fantastic trip with Manc's area to Spain and France, Scottish trips with the Lancs area, the Lanc's Manc's and Yorkshire area meets in Skipton and not forgetting the Manc's v Lanc's rivalry in the annual quiz night at the Green Man, especially keeping Hurdsey quiet was amazing🤣🤣🤣 I plan to keep in touch with some very good freinds I have made over the years Adios Amigos Steve

Hi, Welcome to the club and exciting ownership of a great experience. I have just taken up Area Organiser position for Thames Valley and look forward to seeing you at the local meets. At the moment the monthly meetings are every 2nd Sunday at noon in the Bird in Hand pub near Maidenhead on the A4. As I have only just started I want to get some feed back from area members and will send out some questions soon, hope you can help. It would be great to see the car again. Jim

When I was changing my insurance from build cover to road going, everyone other than A plan wanted north of £500 for my XI. I believe the final cost came in under £300, which I'm happy with.

Hi Glen, Great to hear from you and brilliant that you'd like to meet others in the area. At the moment the meetings are at noon on 2nd Sunday of month and we have just had June meet. I am about to do a survey to see preferences for activities from area members and will include you in on this when get started. Jim

Back to the OP.......Just FYI....Possibly too much of a trek, but Abingdon track run by Motorsports events is a really good 'beginner friendly track, and they are very good with the rules and stopping idiots. They normally run it on a friday. It's quite a short track, and not high speed, and in most places lots of run off as its an airfield.

Out again last night at Fromebridge Mill south of Gloucester. Lovely venue, well worth a stop off if you are ever passing. And you can hillclimb Frocester Hill which is just up the road, epic fun that is!

Finally managed to get out for a decent run. Tour of the valleys - this one was taken on one of my favourite roads 👌

Wow! I just accepted an offer on my Westfield! I never thought this would happen but I'm quite happy with the decision. The car is amazing... too amazing to the point it's scary and since being ill last year it's too much for me. The new owner is new to Westfield's but local so you may see him about so give him a wave. I've met some great people through my ownership and I might still pop along to the occasional meet to keep in contact. Thank you for all the great memories 😁

Looks like the next available trackday for WSCC is 5th Nov 2023. Is this too late in the season ? Cost around £100 per person
