  1. On Thu 22nd June @Greenstreak-Andy D @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman @Stu Faulkner and I, commence a 12 day road trip to Austria and Italy. We've got a new hotel to try in Austria (previous one is great, but we don't really need a Spa/Boutique Hotel). The plan was to travel back from Verona by train. However two weeks after booking the Train. Urlaub Express kindly advised due to staff shortage and training issues, they can't safely load us in Verona and we've now got to drive back to Innsbruck. It would have been a circa 2hr drive to Verona, and is now 8hrs to Innsbruck, which kills our last day in Italy, however the show must go on. Hence we're not going to Verona but the trip name remains. Unlike previous trips, we've not doing a long 3 day drive home via France or Germany, we're taking the train in and out - Duesseldorf - Innsbruck and Innsbruck to Duesseldorf @Stu Faulkner has got twice the power as last year and @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman has added additional hardware to keep his silencer on We're all busy checking the cars overs, finalising waypoints and preparing to pack. Updates will follow..........................

  3. A well attended meet last night, with loads of interesting cars on display. Colin, Ash, Alex and I met in "Swadvegas" at 6pm before a 10 min drive to the show where Iain and Rachael were meeting us. The show is situated in the grounds of Moira Furnace, an industrial revolution building and associated lime kilns next to the canal, quite a picturesque place for a local car meet. In amongst the classics and modified cars, I spotted one of my childhood favourites... an AC 3000ME! For those that don't know, they were a mid engined sportscar that rivalled the V6 TVR's of the late 70's. Fitted with the ubiquitous 3 litre Essex V6 they were a quick motor in their day. Having not seen one for about 20 years, they were like buses! 😂 Plenty of other cars to drool over too. From Escort and Sierra cosworths, classic Minis, Pontiac Firebird, Ferrari Mondial etc etc We even found another Westfield nestled in the classics. Never one to miss an opportunity, we tracked the owner down and had a good chat. He has owned the car 18 years and only livedls 3 miles away, hopefully he'll join us on a meet soon 👍

  4. I would like to wish all my freinds have made over the 20+ years as WSCC member 16 years as the Lancashire AO a fond farewell, my membership is up for renewal and have decided its time to move on, I have my Honda S2000 and I plan to get a few jobs done on my Focus RS Mk1 and put her back on the road, should have more time now I am retired. Elena and myself have had some wonderful times in a Westfield, 4 Coast to Coast trips, a fantastic trip with Manc's area to Spain and France, Scottish trips with the Lancs area, the Lanc's Manc's and Yorkshire area meets in Skipton and not forgetting the Manc's v Lanc's rivalry in the annual quiz night at the Green Man, especially keeping Hurdsey quiet was amazing🤣🤣🤣 I plan to keep in touch with some very good freinds I have made over the years Adios Amigos Steve

  6. Out again last night at Fromebridge Mill south of Gloucester. Lovely venue, well worth a stop off if you are ever passing. And you can hillclimb Frocester Hill which is just up the road, epic fun that is!

  7. A nice six point harness for me. I’ve fitted it to my seat currently but may switch it to the passenger side so my little co-pilot is held more securely with no risk of submarining under the harness. Once sorted, I found it much easier to put on and adjust than my current 4 point, so I would like to source another one really. I think it would be better with pull down lap straps when used with my seats as the pull up ones are awkward to get to down the side of the seat. Might buy a new one.

  8. Popped into Castle Combe circuit today to see a few mates on a track day. Parked up by Merlin Motorsport for the pic. Also spotted Jon Delieu from YouTube Forensic Detailing Channel. Forgot to take a snap though - duh!

  15. Hi All, Hope you are all enjoying with the warm weather... Perfect for an evening drive! We are still updating the shop with parts on a daily basis. To save me updating each time parts are added to the clearance section and clogging up the timeline we are going to do an update on the last Friday of each month going forward. We have wheels, seats and bodywork all still to be added so please check it out for some bargains. https://westfield-sportscars.co.uk/shop/category/accessories-merch-offers-clearance-91 Thanks Jase

  16. A very warm visit to Hook Norton Classics at the brewery this morning. The turn out was good, given that I feared the weather would keep a lot of folk away.

  17. Already offered to help when we spoke at Malvern and you suggested coming early on Saturday morning. At the time I don’t think you were planning to be there on the Friday but can alter our plans if needed. Also relativity near. Andrew

  18. @Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator, I'm relatively local and willing to help, I doubt I'll have a Westy by then so I guess I'll have to pay for the privilege 🤔? Ian
