Apologues, but due to unforeseen circumstances, this has been postponed. New date TBC. Last year a friend and fellow Westfield owner Nik Wadsworth sadly passed away after a struggle with cancer. Exactly a year ago (and a few weeks before Nik passed) his best friend, Nick Bradley arranged a surprise car meet in Balsall Common. Despite the short notice we had a great turnout of US muscle cars, classics, dragsters and of course our cars which put a big smile on Nik's face at the most difficult of times. It was a brilliant day (and a bittersweet memory) so we thought it would be fitting to arrange another in Nik's memory this year. Nick has secured the Tipperary Inn (Meer End Rd, Meer End, Kenilworth CV8 1PW) and the 5 acre field behind at 10am on Sunday 9th July. Bacon butties will also be available. A number of car clubs (including Coleshill Auto Breakfast Meet) have been invited along. With Nicks contacts in the dragster scene (he and Nik used to be heavily involved in the record breaking Red Victor 3) we hopefully will get some drag cars along too. Please feel free to come along, it will be a large meet and you should still be home in time to watch the British GP 😂 Closer to the time, we will of course arrange a convoy so we land in style 👌 A few shots of last year's impromptu meet to wet the appetite.....3 points

My daughter wanted some motorway practise, so my crazy idea was to drive all the way round the M25, which we did this morning. In four hours driving we encountered many of the joys of motorway driving; being cut up, traffic jams due to accidents, roadworks with narrow lanes, the Dartford tunnel etc etc. She did well!2 points

May be able to pop up to Quackers briefly. Gemma is off to the smoke for a whole week with work in the afternoon so I need to be around to do family stuff too.2 points

I'm in East Devon and when possible try to join in with local events. I've been over to the Bridport meeting a couple of times, it can be a pleasant drive when the traffic is kind. An early morning trip over Exmoor or Dartmoor is way better for the scenery and twisty roads.2 points

My dad had a Morgan 3 wheeler. He brought it home in the back of next doors van in the summer of 1964. It never ran. I remember playing in it with my brother, but can't remember when it was sold. I say sold, it was a case of "are you going to do something with that, or get it moved from underneath my kitchen window" Mum's, don't you love 'em.2 points

Junes (last Sunday of the month) breaky meet. Out on the lawn in the sunshine at the Stag, home of the b road hunters. Location- The Stag, Canterbury Road, Challock, Kent TN25 4BB Meet us there for 1000am, or join us for a blat before hand. Details to follow but likely start point the old John Lewis at Ashford at 7 am. Route will be sent out for Tom Tom sat nav users, we would advise having one for the ride out and then people don’t get lost or can go at their own pace etc without the worry of getting left behind or taking the wrong direction. Also as mentioned before the radios are so helpful in group rides. Contact me or Rich B for details should you wish to purchase one or abit more info about them. See you all there 👍🏼1 point

Hello everyone, I am Mark from Kent and have in the last week become a proud owner of a Westie SEiW 1600 cvh Ford. Been hankering after a Westie for a few years now, as always have to have a toy in the garage no matter what! My last three toys have been MX5's , but wanted a Westie before I was unable to get in and out of one, coming up 67 as I am!! 😁 Looking forward to reading this forum and finding out new things about my new toy! @Labrat we saw you this afternoon with those long legs of yours at full speed along Vicar Lane, whoosh and you were gone as fast as a Westfield with a V8 engine😀 So we all have a day out tomorrow with no Andrew's, someone has to step up and be the Cake Meister, who will it be I wonder? Destination 1 - Bird Cafe, Hathersage, S32 1EG and finishing at New Bath Hotel, Matlock Bath DE4 3PX (without going through Matlock obviously) Stay cool and we will see you in the morning1 point

I'll be doing the normal pre meet at the A50/A38 services (DE65 6DX) at 845 for a 9am prompt depart. We will drop by the co-op at Wirksworth at 930 to pick up newbie Rich in his XE turbo powered car and aim to land at Quackers at 10am.1 point

I like that - let's have a drive when the roads are empty, even if involves some unsocial hours.1 point

Nice and toasty today, perfect Westfield weather! I landed about 930 to find Tony and Nick already there watching the Morgans. I'd not seen Nick for ages, so was great to catch up with his Superveloce Cars venture. Hopefully we'll see the first SV1 on the road this year 👍 Soon we had a load more join us, as James, Glynn, Lee, Rachael, Iain and Hedley arrived. It wouldn't be a meet if we didn't get some tops off 😂 Lee's Megablade Nick's Megabusa The main event was the Morgan 3 Wheeler club, so after a butty we headed for the paddock... Matchless engined 😍 This beastie was running on Ethanol! We even found one for @HB46443!! 😂 Great to see you all, hopefully see you in the Peaks tomorrow 👍1 point
