I am still building my ZK kit that I bought in November 2020 - I guess it may be one of the very last cars from the old company to be completed - is that a good thing or bad I wonder? As everyone who has built a Westfield from a kit knows, there will be parts missing but of course when the company no longer exists to send out the parts by return as they used to, you are cut adrift. Well, today, while struggling with GRP that is 30 months old (not sure that age is actually a major factor - it's more of a problem with consistency of manufacture) I discovered that there was no fitting kit for the hood. I thought I had been through the picking list enough times to have ensured that I had everything but of course, with the huge gaps in the documentation provided with the ZK kit you don't actually know what you need until you realise that you haven't got it! So I spoke to Ewan and Jason at Westfield-Chesil to ask if they were able to help a customer of the old company to obtain the missing parts. While they made it clear that they can have no formal obligation to customers of Westfield Sportscars, they were both super helpful and after a bit of investigation into what is needed to fit the standard ZK hood they have identified the missing parts - the three part press studs - and agreed to supply them - great! Hopefully I'll be collecting them at Malvern on Saturday. It's good to know that there is still support available when you need it.3 points

Wow! I just accepted an offer on my Westfield! I never thought this would happen but I'm quite happy with the decision. The car is amazing... too amazing to the point it's scary and since being ill last year it's too much for me. The new owner is new to Westfield's but local so you may see him about so give him a wave. I've met some great people through my ownership and I might still pop along to the occasional meet to keep in contact. Thank you for all the great memories π3 points

Up for reluctant sale is my SEiW. Originally a 1800 Sport built by a friend of mine and his retired RAF engineer father. I have owned the car since Oct 2017, and in this time it has seen continual development, roughly in this order: Engine swap to 2.0l ST170 and fuel injection Suspension upgrades - poly bushed, widetrack, Protech shocks Brake upgrades - Willwood front calipers Engine bottom end rebuild, ported head, and custom Simpson Racing exhaust Half cage, Dash2 pro, half hood Tracksport Type9 swap As a result of young kids, and the dash2 upgrade project taking longer than expected, although it's been MOT'd every year the milage history looks a bit odd. It's on ~2,200 miles on the dash2, with about 12,000 miles overall, probably less. This is a very well sorted car, and perfect for touring, fast road, and some track use, truly a capable all-rounder. The ECU manages the ST170 lump's VCT properly (not just on/off), and as can be seen from the NMS dyno print out, torque kicks in very low down, and just stays there, not peaky at all. So instant throttle response, and loads of torque, best of all worlds. Car is located just south of Huntingdon, Cambs, and has a fresh MOT. I have a massive pile of paperwork to support all the work done. Full spec is below, I'm looking for Β£14,000. DM me if interested. I did one last month and the refund came within 7 days. I think the issue might be if you've just taxed it and then sold/sorn'd within a short period of time. I had similar selling my Westfield 3 years ago where I taxed it for the test drive and then did the sale/change of owner within 24 hours. I don't think their system was able to compute the short timeframe and in the end I raised a complaint, attaching copies of the RFL receipt and the confirmation of keeper change for the following day before I finally got the refund. To compound the issue this all happened in the middle of Covid when the DVLA were at their worst and it took over 9months to resolve.0 points
