This looked unlikely given the recent weather, but in the end the rain held off and I met up with Matt at Cartgate Roundabout on the A303 for a quick natter before heading into the event. There was already a queue heading in, but not too bad and we were soon parked up side by side in the main area. Sean was in the paddock next to another club Westie, apologies didnβt catch your name! Plenty of other Westfields and Caterhams dotted about too. We had a good wander about, caught up with the other chaps and I also had a chat with @Paul Baker, nice to meet you sir π. Iβll certainly head back there again when possible, there was a huge range of different cars there from old/inexpensive to recent supercars. A lovely RS200 and Muira in the entrance lobby to the museum too. Here is a (quite large!) selection of them:6 points

What a beautiful day, so of course we had to get the cars out! A few of us met bright and early at Ashby. Glynn had finally got the 400bhp S2000S back on the road after the clutch let go last year. We took a steady drive down to Curborough down the quiet back roads of South Derbyshire until the convoy disappeared from my mirrors... I doubled back to find Iain and Rachael's Luego had had a bit of a whoopsie! After a fantastic team effort, we got the Luego sorted and managed to get back underway. Slightly delayed we all landed safely at Curborough to find the rest of the gang already there. We had invited the local NWKCOG group too so had an amazing line up of fourteen MEV's, Marlin, Luego, Tiger, MK's, MNR's and Westfields, plus an Abarth and a classic Mini. We out numbered the spectating Caterhams by about 3 to 1 for their own sprint day π€·ββοΈ Fortunately, the paddock was full of almost 40 Caterhams running in various classes. The quickest of which were a pair of slick shod Hyabusa powered cars that were epic on track π Good friends and stunning cars, it's what sunny Sundays were made for!4 points

Iβve been thinking about doing a Haynes breakfast meet for ages and it was well worth the trip this morning. Loads of kits on show and some very interesting machines to admire. Nice to meet you @fatblokestu and nice to see that neat half hood of yours up close, gave me some good ideas for improving mine. And a shout out to the Kitnet boys for the convoy in, was a great drive there and back.3 points

Was a fantastic day and weather held up for most of it. I fancy 1 of them Jam Dognuts now that I turned down twice hahaha. Quite entertaining the last hour with a mildly moist track lol.1 point
