Out and about yesterday.

90 miles drive out with Tea and cake stop at Fairways garden centre in Ashbourne.

Today’s set of wheels !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ok it’s not shouting WOW at you but here’s a few pointers for you🫣 you don’t have to be a gymnast to get in it, its £45k cheaper, it does double the mileage even when you drive it like you stole it! you can get a weeks shopping in the boot, its got cup holders, tyres are definitely not £220 a corner, and you can get over speed bumps without cringing , plus I get chauffeured to work in it all week 😜 happy wife happy life 👍 P.S the Lotus was a friends I just went around for a spin, I haven’t won the lottery ……yet!

Haha.. yes would be interesting.. or maybe spend the money on some driving lessons!! In fact half way through last year I made some adjustments on the front suspension to improve the braking as was always locking up one side.. have now now found how much later I can brake into the corners.. but of course it all happens a bit quicker now as you reach the corner at higher speed! Another interesting thing is how much more quickly my pads have worn... because now I can put much more braking force into the tyres / pads before locking up! Imagine what it would be like with sticky tyres!!

Had a really good day Andrew, weather was dry.. and I decided to push a bit more than usual to find the limits... which included a big lock up into the chicane, a spin into the chicane plus I lost the back end trying too hard out of Coppice which proved exciting!!! I agree I felt the surface was pretty good anyway... Not sure if it was just because I was pushing harder but definitely felt that I was going faster...and obviously getting a bit nearer my limit... Apart from the flat spot which gave me an out of shape tyre the caravan tyres held up well despite the abuse... they definitely start to break down a bit quicker now especially if its a warm day.. I am just getting car ready.. going to do Cadwell this Thursday....

You know the wheel chairs and walking frames that do not leave the hospital are serviced and used again. What would happen is the same people who do this in hospital would do exactly the same for those returned. Same as Oxygen bottles and trolleys, when people die as the bottles are rented, they get picked up and refilled and reused. It is not that hard where there is a will. Alternatively we can keep on buying everything new and just throw it away because it is beyond the wit of someone in the NHS to sort this out.
