Yaay, another easy pass. Even treated it to a tank of Tesco Momentum on the way back. Didn’t actually have much choice about that as it was way lower than usual when parked up last autumn so was running on fumes by the time I was headed home. Anyhoo, weather was kind and it behaved perfectly so all good for another season. It’s looking like the crank seals might be weeping a bit, so I think I’ll schedule an engine out and re-seal for winter tinkering.3 points

I have reserved a space for the WSCC at this event which takes place on Sunday, September 3rd. Glemham Hall is located near Woodbridge so not too far from the Essex border if anyone from there would like to join us. I have to submit a final number by early August so please let me know in good time if you would like to attend from whatever county you are based. Many thanks.2 points

This morning 5 of us braved the changeable weather to visit Re:fuel (Malcolm & Dale in their Mini Van). We met up at Ilminster Services and after a spirited drive down the back roads of Somerset/Devon arrived just before 09:00 to be parked between an Aston Martin and two Bugattis by fellow WSSC member Colin @Haflingerman who was acting as parking attendant for the Crashbox Classic Car Club. Some photos of the Bugattis for interest. Return journey was hoods off as the rain had stopped.....2 points

Great read. I’ve got Zetec 150bhp. I’d like a bit more. 170-200bhp is my target for fast road/occasional track use1 point

My lad got married in Kiev in 2018 and we had a fantastic time there. Great city and very lovely people. Breaks my heart and you can imagine my opinion of certain Muscovians....1 point

Yep. I left there about 12:30 - was chatting with Steve after the test and looking at some of the pictures from his recent trip to Ukraine.1 point

They'd breathe (yes that's the correct spelling PB) the same way they would if they weren't in a box...1 point

Snap - I put The Wench through her MOT this morning, no fails, no advisories. Happy days. Time to give the old girl a few miles. If the weather suits, I’ll run her down to the WC Ltd open day in three weeks.1 point

Bear in mind this was very obviously in the USA, the only country on earth with more guns than people, 1.2 for every man, woman and child. I'd say as a woman in a country like that carrying one in your handbag might actually be a sensible and justifiable thing. Owning one does not make it dangerous or promote violence, using one maybe. It's like saying you can't have a knife to carve your Sunday roast in case you cut yourself or stab someone. Inanimate objects are not the danger, irresponsible people are the danger.1 point

In the end, the box didn’t contain bees but it did have a dictaphone with a recording of bees buzzing, connected to a inertia switch so that when you did shake it, it would make the buzzing noise. 😂1 point

I have a Zetec Turbo with controllable boost from the cabin. I have a choice of 4 settings starting at 210 and going up to 272. For me level 2 is the sweet spot, it's perfect at 228. Occasionally I use level 3 but 99% of the time I'm driving at 228. Don't forget weight comes into to equation too in my opinion. My Westie is quite heavy, about 670kgs with a full tank and I'm not a small bloke. A 600kgs car with a 10 stone bloke in it would be another story, 228 would no longer be the sweet spot. Then of course there is driver skill and brave pills! I have a friend with a 160bhp Caterham, he can keep up with a 420R on the road no probs. He is an ex race driver though!1 point
