The local Halfords had a bit of a car show on this morning 😂 4 Westies and Paul's lovely VX220 Turbo 👌 It was great to see Colin back out after the recent gearbox swap you may have seen on YouTube, the car seems to be running really well now. After a good catch up and a chat about all things cars (including about Paul's Ford Model T and his recent run out to the Shuttleworth Collection) we headed south west through the lanes to Curborough. We always seem to get a great turnout for our breakfast meets here. It's a real hidden gem with free spectating, a big car park, a good value cafe, public access to the paddock and a real mix of interesting cars. The five of us landed and found a dry spot to park up and were quickly followed by Ash in his narrow body car. Then a few minutes later a Westfield I didn't recognise.... this turned out to be Martyn who had brought his son all the way from Coventry, great to meet you today! A little while later Lee and his wife landed in the Megablade and then the jet setting Tim (just back from the US) arrived making a total of 8 Westfields and the VX220! A stunning line up. Some unusual cars in the car park too.... Having not seen Ash's car for a while we spotted some recent upgrades... Sexy new LED lights 😍 A fun morning, now what to do tomorrow!? 😂

A short notice trip to the Triumph Factory in Hinckley this morning for a Collecting Cars event. There was loads to see, with much more variety than I had expected. I even spotted a Westy hiding in the outer carpark too. The only negative thing about the whole trip was that I suspect it was more popular than the factory expected, and they'd run out of bacon by the time I wanted a bacon roll. A vegan sausage roll and a pastie just didn't cut it! I couldn't miss taking this photo, for the sense of scale if nothing else! A very full inner carpark, with the outer ones filling quickly. Opposite ends of the BMZ Z car scale. Some Old Skool Fords. Its always good to see GT40s! Really surprised to see not one, but two, Stratos reps appear together.

Cracking afternoon for a decent run out. Followed a good recommendation and drove up to AV8 Cafe at Cotswold Airport, seems to be a bit of a gathering point for nice cars and bikes. And some big and small flying machines of course….

I have spent the last couple of days following this rally - mainly prewar high end vintage cars, being put through their paces on the back roads of Northern England / Scotland. HERO Events - Flying Scotsman 2023 Not sure I would take my 1/2 million pound Bentley through these conditions (But there were about 25 of them that did!) Last day is tomorrow, heading North from an overnight stop near Edinburgh. luckily drone battery life will limit flight time and they still need a traffic car or speed trap to get your speed, so I'd not worry too much yet. Also if you come out into the peaks with us, we've often got too much cloud cover 😉

In the end, the box didn’t contain bees but it did have a dictaphone with a recording of bees buzzing, connected to a inertia switch so that when you did shake it, it would make the buzzing noise. 😂

Hello all & a quick message to show face. James May here from sunny Shropshire. Role on the top gear jokes! So my first steps to securing my dream toy! Boy am I excited for 2023!!! And this will likely be in the next few months, once I have sorted some other bits out. I will be purchasing Via Toy box cars. Shout out to Andrew for pointing me in this direction to join the club, and for some guidance on what I am looking for. I love Westfields and a huge petrol head. Due to a few things happening in real life, my view is now to tick off the bucket list sooner, life is too short!!! The experience section was open too, and free to wander round, as it's essentially a mini-Triumph museum. The factory tours were on too, but we didn't do that so I can't say if it's any good or not

Hi, A few of us are heading to the Curborough Sprint Course (Netherstowe Ln, Lichfield WS13 8EJ) tomorrow morning for the Shadow Sport Track Cars and Coffee meet. There is normally a good selection of interesting cars at the meet or on track. https://facebook.com/events/s/track-cars-coffee/1312196382958615/ We will aim to land for 10am and stay for a couple of hours. Spectators are free as usual and the cafe will be open for a brews and butties. For those travelling that way, we will do a pre-meet and convoy from the Swadlincote Halfords (DE11 8JU) at about 915am for a 930am depart. As @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative is unable to do a meet this weekend I may also organise a Peaks breakfast meet on Sunday for those interested 👍

Got an endoscope? If not open slowly and carefully outdoors. As an ex-beekeeper, collecting drones, male bees, no sting but loud buzz and letting them out in houses, offices etc was always a good way to create a panic....

Essex and North Kents run and meet this morning from Gravesend to Hawkhurst Fish Farm. Great turnout 12 cars.

A quick trip out to the M4 Karting meeting today near Hullavington. Nice little blat there and back with Ross in his blue Honda engined Westie, me in my turbo Zetec.

Another amazing turnout, must be something in the water 😂 We even had six cars for the pre-meet convoy!
