Back out this week after what seemed a long winter.

Winston finally found a friend tonight in Bridport 😊

Having fixed the spilt CV boot, I persuaded the better half to come out for a beer at a local classic meet. There was a really wide mix, from Morris Minors, Beetles, a Lambo, a McLaren and some American metal too.

It all started out as a repair to some small cracks in the bonnet. Couldn’t get them quite right, so thought I’d try something different. Not 100% sure with it but it can always be removed 😊

Can’t have been easy to get those angles right across the different panels, and it’s been done superbly by the looks of it 👍

Yep, it certainly is, great to see a different stripe design, too, now that Toy Box have effectively made the popular single stripe style their own!!

Over the next few days I’ll try to catch you up with all the prep work I’ve completed to date. All the donor parts have been bought and are boxed up ready in the garage, most of which I’ve also cleaned up and refurbished so they all look shiny and like new again. in the next week I should be ordering the chassis steel but for now I’ve been working on some of the smaller parts. The front suspension is going to be fully independent so last weekends job was to turn on the lathe a set of nylon bushes and stainless steel tubes for the upper and lower wishbones. There’s still another 8 nylon bushes to make 😀

While out on a little trip yesterday, lovely weather.
