  1. A good day out today Started with a bacon roll, coffee and a blether at The Pagoda before a good run to Tomintoul Glenfiddich then the back road to Grantown where we had a lovely 3 course buffet and home again

  2. Today at Stowe, one of my favourite spots to get a snap or two. Did over 60 miles for a 'blow the cobwebs away after winter' route with my son in his Boxster.

  3. Nice little run out with my co pilot again. A variation of a familiar route; West Bay, Burton Bradstock, Abbotsbury, back to Bridport for some Esso 99 fuel then home. Half hood pretty much finished now and working well. Beaminster tunnel as fun as ever. Twice 😱🀣😁

  5. Cracking little meet up! We ended up with 10 of us... 6 Westfields, Lee in his lovely Capri, Gary in his 2ZZ engined MR2, Ben in the Caddy (as the MNR is due a spanner check after a recent Donington track day) and I'd got my 16yr old stepson riding shotgun for his first Curburgring visit (the lure of a bacon sandwich helped get him out of bed πŸ˜‚). We were scattered across the car park initially so took the opportunity to get a line up photo or two Admiring Lee's stunning 2.0 Capri Laser. Hedley press ganged an unsuspecting spectator into choosing the best looking Westfield, with Lee and Tom's British Racing Green Megablade being declared the winner (she was obviously colour blind as we all know that red is best πŸ˜‰). Having had a brew and sandwich we all headed for the paddock to admire the Austin 7 specials that were going out on track. Amazing to think that the Austin 7 will celebrate its 100 years this year as these cars were absolutely stunning! Some cars were actually getting up to some respectable speeds on track considering the tiny 700cc side valve, pre crossflow engines. What a stunning little car! This beauty had its first start up just 3 days ago since its rebuild. Stunning woodworking skills on display for the rear tub and a trick Ricardo cylinder head. Look at those forward facing front leaf springs clamped to the chassis rails... Isn't it amazing what people keep locked up in their garages?! Fantastic to see them being used and driven hard rather then just being museum pieces, bravo πŸ‘ Great to see everyone, hope you enjoyed the morning πŸ‘

  11. It's also an extremely worth while upgrade over the standard MC. Gives much better pedal feel and control, as a result.

  12. Pipe wise, they're normally interchangeable with the old standard master cylinders used on floor mount pedal cars. From memory, one of the pipe entries is ever so slightly in a different position, (by mm not cm), but is easy enough to carefully pull over into position, using the tip of your thumb to gently bend the pipe over, if it needs the tiniest of tweaks. When I last did the swap, I found it easier to put the new AP MC onto the studs on the chassis, but only tighten the nuts enough to stop them falling off. Then connect up the brake pipes while it's still nice and easy to pull and twist the MC, to line them up. (It's not so much they're in the wrong positions, it's just with two rigid brake lines to attach, it can be tricky getting the brake pipe nuts threaded in to start with. Once they're running in properly, then tighten up the MC mounting nuts, then do up the brake pipe nuts.)

  13. I can’t comment on the pipework as there’s no standard as such, but the mounting points will be the same
