I fully understand your situation but if the weather is fine you will be very welcome. I was speaking to the manager at the museum this afternoon and he told me that if there are no more than about ten of us in attendance, he will allow us to park within the museum itself for the best possible photo opportunities.2 points

I got hit by an errant wheel/tyre whilst riding my new GSXR1100 back in 1988. It was the first crash I couldn't walk away from. Cause was the car owner using the wrong wheel nuts on his alloy wheels. When the cops arrived, 3 of the wheel nuts were still on the hub. The payout from that was used to buy my blue Westfield 😄2 points

Hi All I went to this show for the first time last year and must say it was great. only lived in Cambs for the last 11 years hundreds of cars ranging from 1920's to the latest supercars, Kitcars, customs, hotrods, restorations, seemed to cover all interests. food area for breakfast, obviously market stalls, but also a entertainment arena for stunt riders, dog displays etc. all in all a really good day out. it is ideally situated for people living in or around Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire. but all are welcome obviously. I have spoken to @Baz456 - Norfolk AO and happy for me to test the water see who might be interested and try and confirm a spot. What they need from me is: "If you would like to book a club stand in this year’s show all I need from you is: · Confirmation that your club wishes to attend · How many cars you wish to exhibit." so all I need for now is: -Do we want to "Officially" attend this show? -Would you be interested in attending and showing off your car? link to the web page https://kimboltoncountryfayre.com/ Link to the FB page https://www.facebook.com/kimboltonfayre1 point

I realise that Norfolk is a large county and that several of you who supported my first event last Saturday came from Cambridgeshire and even Lincolnshire (thanks Andrew). However, in an attempt to attract other Norfolk members next time I am planning to arrange a visit to the Norfolk & Suffolk Aviation Museum at Flixton on Saturday, May 20th. Please let me know if you would like to join this visit at your earliest convenience because if there are no takers I will have to go back to the drawing board!1 point

Anyone up for a little meet up on Saturday 1st April? There's a meeting at the King's Arms, Heath Common, WF1 5SE on Saturday afternoon, 1st April from around 3pm. We can meet up in Starbucks car park on Doncaster Road, WF1 5DB at 3, and drive over to Heath Common together for quarter past. First meeting of the year, so all those on SORN, get them taxed. It's not an April fool.1 point

Some great progress today. I’ve got all the main machining done to create the shape, plus four straps and their anchor points. Pretty pleased with it I must confess. The sewing is a bit rough in places but actually it all looks fine. I will cut a rear window in as the proper ones have, and add angled straps as well. Then some finishing edging to make it look a bit more professional. I may also add easy access zips as it is a bit tricky getting in as it is. I took it out for a run this afternoon and it’s great! It might be my imagination but it seems to help the aerodynamics a bit so it feels a bit quicker accelerating above sixty odd. It felt very solid though, the roof bars really help, as does the single hoop which I’ve used; this adds height and tensions the hood really well so there is no flapping at all.1 point

Thanks for the chat this morning Nick. Good to catch up. Its been a great car for rack days. I think I changed a coil pack once, and a fuse once. Other than that its never let me down. Just turn up blast round all day. Stick it in the trailer and go home. Not bad for 10 years or fun.1 point

…or maybe not… 😬 Amazingly and thankfully, only minor injuries. Looks like failure of a cheap wheel spacer for posing purposes.0 points
