Right here goes. I have struggled with this decision, and it is with a heavy heart I have decided to sell my car, I have other motorsport challenges I would like to undertake so this highly competitive Megablade needs to go, still have my other Westfield so you wont get rid of me that easily; Car description. This car is road registered and has a V5 just requires lights adding and handbrake to pass an MOT(all wiring in place). Over the last 18 months has had extensive upgrade and is now ready for the new owner to dominate the street or the track. Westfield Megablade Mega Chassis Orange Westfield bodywork with Mickmade carbon splitter , Currently running a foam bag seat with Schroth harnesses – I’ll provide a new GRP seat if full asking price is met. The rear body section is removable for ease of maintenance as are the front engine side panels. Pre Preg Mickmade rear bulkhead panel and original Westfield Aluminium side and tunnel panels. Approved Caged Cage with homologation certificate. MSA log booked. The bodywork is in good condition with the rare aero rear wings and the sought after carbon passenger compartment cover (like hen’s teeth) ENGINE: 2014 CBR1000RR world superbike engine with 2019 drive by wire throttle bodies and Nova Close ratio gearbox. Ab Performance SC59 Sump and oil cooler take off. AB performance designed manifold, fabricated by NAW automotive in Chesterfield with EGT sensors in each exhaust Primary. Electrical: Standalone management provided by MaxxECU race and MaxxECU PDM20 takes care of the power supported by a Cartec XR cut off. Full new light weight clubman level loom professionally built in Sept 2022 at eye watering money all controlled via 12 button blink marine Can keypad. Cooling is taken care of by PWM controlled BMW 3 series electric water pump with ECU target temperature. SUSPENSION: Rear is Standard Westfield wishbones fitted with nylon bushes. Nitron dampers and 250lb springs Front is custom made oval tube rose jointed wishbones with high quality rose joints and smaller NAS bolts to save weight. Nitron adjustable dampers and 600lbs Front and rear playskool anti roll bars. Fully set up by club sponsors Triple M motorsport. TRANSMISSION Currently fitted with 3.38 Sierra Diff which was newly rebuilt by Road and Race transmissions. Also, car comes with fresh built (this week) 3:14 diff Both diffs Heli-coiled to make for easier changes. Rear rims are 9" Force Racing alloy split rims. Fronts are 8" Force Racing alloy split rims. 4 event old Pirelli ultra soft Slick’s Also supplied with as set of Compomotive CXR rims and grooved slicks. This was already a very competitive sprint car before the upgrades. Now, you can easily go out and win the championship. For me, the lure of MX5 racing is too strong to resist and sadly I can’t do both. OTHER STUFF Racetech steering wheel with Rapfix racing removable boss Alloy AB Performance paddle shift Custom made lightweight lower steering column fitted with quality UJs from AB Performance. Titan Steering Rack Westfield front Alloy uprights and hubs Four Pot Hi-Spec callipers at the front. Rear single pot Hi-spec callipers Brake bias bar and twin master cylinders GRP diffuser Brake and Clutch pedal are from a Juno endurance car Radtech alloy radiator. I think that’s it but I've probably forgotten something; I also have a covered trailer for sale that is available by separate negotiation. Loads more functionality to have with this setup including, launch control, traction with wheel speed on each corner, flat shift and blip etc etc the Maxx does it all. Weighing in at 415kg its an absolute monster, final mapping next week and I’m expecting of upwards of 200BHP (at the Wheels) will be used at the Anglesey Sprint event at the start of April should anyone want to view. Or by arrangement in Chesterfield. Asking price is £22k ono. Any questions just ask, currently only for sale on the forum to give members first chance, will share wider next week.2 points

Used to use Pharmacy2u. Was OK for a while but once it went wrong, oh boy!!! So I went back to picking it up from my local pharmacy 'cos when it goes wrong it is possible to take direct action. All I will say about that is when I walk in there now, they know my name and what I want without having to be asked...2 points

I will be joining you Terry. Perhaps we could interview you for the social media channels? Encouraging more speed series members? ATB Hedley2 points

That sounds like a terific result as well as an excellent opportunity to tell a poor service provider to do one! And thanks for sharing. I know at least one person who can immediately benefit from this1 point

Thanks for posting Jason. Yes, I would be happy to attend, hopefully with a few others from my area. I'll see what support there might be at our meet this Saturday and report back.1 point

Only S2000 and Sport 250’s use the later chassis with the rack mounted higher. I’d expect his to be lower down and hence the bell joint will enter from beneath.1 point

If he was unobservant enough to run into a large gate at full pelt, he was unobservant enough to hit a child etc at the same pace.1 point

Think all them prices are plus vat on their site from memory. All the little bits like tps sensor, injectors, blanking plates, temp sensors, then there's the time of fitting it all with no leaks etc etc1 point

It's not a big job hardest not is cutting the boot box to make it fit. But that's fairly straight forward just time consuming1 point

So a quick update - TP-Link contacted me again and asked if my case was still open or closed. Unbelievable. My reply was rather short - “You closed it through your poor decision not to give me a replacement.” 🤬🤬🤬 On a better news front, I did a bit of research and found that as I’m with Virgin Media for broadband and TV, they offer WiFi Pods. These aren’t extenders like TP-Link that uses the house’s electric mains wiring, but signal boosters (or repeaters). They just plug in to the mains (socket or power strip) up to one floor or two rooms away from the hub or router. Brain-dead setup - no buttons, no settings, just plug it in and wait 10 minutes. Best news is they’re free - up to 3 pods, although they wisely only send you one at a time until you’ve got sufficient coverage. I contacted Virgin Media on Tuesday lunchtime and ordered one, which they said would take 3 working days. It showed up the next day at 11 AM! So I went upstairs and plugged it in somewhere fairly central within the prescribed limits and waited. 10 minutes later, voila! All the upstairs dead spots eliminated. Same network, no setup hassles, no firmware updates - simple. Well chuffed. I’ll get one more for the basement office just to boost that a bit and connect a cable from it to the desktop. So if you’re on Virgin Media and need to boost your WiFi, you really can’t go wrong for free.1 point

Does the O/P actually mean a petty strut? The RAC bar has to rear brace bars, one each side. The MSA don't like them if fitted to modified cars, for competition because of the rose joints used to fix them to the main bar, but they are certainly much better than the plain single hoop which is as much use as a chocolate teapot. A petty strut is a single brace, which comes from the main hoop in a forward direction, down to the floor, usually on the front of the passenger footwell. Like Dave says, a petty strut on its own, with no back braces, could be lethal, as it could very well cause the main hoop to twist around the point where the petty strut attaches to the hoop, giving at least a 50/50 chance of the hoop decapitating the driver in the event of a roll-over. 😢1 point

It’s often pointed out that an engine swap (say from crossflow to zetec, or pinto to duratec) can easily cost you a good couple of grand on top of the bare engine…1 point

Anyone else in the area like to go along to this, in a tin top or Westfield? It would be good to get a few people together with Terry and the Speed Series folk, they are a friendly bunch that know a hell of a lot about Westfield's, you might learn something!1 point
