  1. Right here goes. I have struggled with this decision, and it is with a heavy heart I have decided to sell my car, I have other motorsport challenges I would like to undertake so this highly competitive Megablade needs to go, still have my other Westfield so you wont get rid of me that easily; Car description. This car is road registered and has a V5 just requires lights adding and handbrake to pass an MOT(all wiring in place). Over the last 18 months has had extensive upgrade and is now ready for the new owner to dominate the street or the track. Westfield Megablade Mega Chassis Orange Westfield bodywork with Mickmade carbon splitter , Currently running a foam bag seat with Schroth harnesses – I’ll provide a new GRP seat if full asking price is met. The rear body section is removable for ease of maintenance as are the front engine side panels. Pre Preg Mickmade rear bulkhead panel and original Westfield Aluminium side and tunnel panels. Approved Caged Cage with homologation certificate. MSA log booked. The bodywork is in good condition with the rare aero rear wings and the sought after carbon passenger compartment cover (like hen’s teeth) ENGINE: 2014 CBR1000RR world superbike engine with 2019 drive by wire throttle bodies and Nova Close ratio gearbox. Ab Performance SC59 Sump and oil cooler take off. AB performance designed manifold, fabricated by NAW automotive in Chesterfield with EGT sensors in each exhaust Primary. Electrical: Standalone management provided by MaxxECU race and MaxxECU PDM20 takes care of the power supported by a Cartec XR cut off. Full new light weight clubman level loom professionally built in Sept 2022 at eye watering money all controlled via 12 button blink marine Can keypad. Cooling is taken care of by PWM controlled BMW 3 series electric water pump with ECU target temperature. SUSPENSION: Rear is Standard Westfield wishbones fitted with nylon bushes. Nitron dampers and 250lb springs Front is custom made oval tube rose jointed wishbones with high quality rose joints and smaller NAS bolts to save weight. Nitron adjustable dampers and 600lbs Front and rear playskool anti roll bars. Fully set up by club sponsors Triple M motorsport. TRANSMISSION Currently fitted with 3.38 Sierra Diff which was newly rebuilt by Road and Race transmissions. Also, car comes with fresh built (this week) 3:14 diff Both diffs Heli-coiled to make for easier changes. Rear rims are 9" Force Racing alloy split rims. Fronts are 8" Force Racing alloy split rims. 4 event old Pirelli ultra soft Slick’s Also supplied with as set of Compomotive CXR rims and grooved slicks. This was already a very competitive sprint car before the upgrades. Now, you can easily go out and win the championship. For me, the lure of MX5 racing is too strong to resist and sadly I can’t do both. OTHER STUFF Racetech steering wheel with Rapfix racing removable boss Alloy AB Performance paddle shift Custom made lightweight lower steering column fitted with quality UJs from AB Performance. Titan Steering Rack Westfield front Alloy uprights and hubs Four Pot Hi-Spec callipers at the front. Rear single pot Hi-spec callipers Brake bias bar and twin master cylinders GRP diffuser Brake and Clutch pedal are from a Juno endurance car Radtech alloy radiator. I think that’s it but I've probably forgotten something; I also have a covered trailer for sale that is available by separate negotiation. Loads more functionality to have with this setup including, launch control, traction with wheel speed on each corner, flat shift and blip etc etc the Maxx does it all. Weighing in at 415kg its an absolute monster, final mapping next week and I’m expecting of upwards of 200BHP (at the Wheels) will be used at the Anglesey Sprint event at the start of April should anyone want to view. Or by arrangement in Chesterfield. Asking price is £22k ono. Any questions just ask, currently only for sale on the forum to give members first chance, will share wider next week.

  7. as a side note, now so many have gone down the Insta360 route, and we’re starting to get some really good info, is it worth us moving things like this to the video help section we set up last year?

  9. Glad you’re sorted Matt. Bridgwater Battery centre is my “go to” place for all things battery, etc. Guys there are always helpful and provide an old school service. Over the years have found they always like to logically check things out rather than just sell/fit new batteries.

  10. Nice to see there are still some specialists out there. Not seen that done since the days of battery and radiator shops.

  12. Yes. I used mine many a time when on the motorway, just to stop luggage and things blowing round in the car. Never had the slightest issue. (Though without bracing bars above your head, they can be a bit "flappy"!)

  13. Seems like a bargain with a great engine and would be a shame to break . Would be tempted myself if I had the room .

  16. Nothing like firing up the westy after it’s been hidden in the garage for a few years!! Just a damp vdo speedometer i think (digits all flashing and corrupted so it’s in the airing cupboard) and was firing on 3 until I unplugged and plugged in all the spark plug leads. Does any one else have a Zetec 1800 where sparks 3,4,5 are all flat with the head and properly seated but spark 1 just doesn’t seem to click and seat flat like the others? Same with 2 HT leads. Odd… Next step MOT…

  18. I bolted mine on with black plastic bolts. The theory being the bolts would shear off before damaging the nosecone if i hit anything.
