  1. We are happy to announce that Toybox Specialist Cars have joined the club as Traders! Almost all of us are familiar with Toybox, who have been selling Westfields for many years now, but that's not all that they're about. They have an announcement to make on that front, which you'll see in here soon. In the meantime, please join us in welcoming Toybox into the WSCC fold!

  4. Westfield SE 1996 Narrow Body in British Racing Green 26k miles. Around 125hp NEW MOT It has had extensive work over the last 3 years on it's Ford Pinto engine (around £3k worth of work to the engine alone and £900 in the last month!) so it's really been looked after regardless of expense. £000’s spent (more than I expected to!). It has been my first Westie and now got the bug - am looking to upgrade to newer & bigger Westie - having been to a few of the owners days! Works done in the last 18 months - Cylinder head skimmed and reconditioned New camshaft and exhaust valves Cam belt Full carb rebuild - including sonic cleaning, new seals kit etc Oil filter and oil Replacement block (with a reconditioned one) Block honed Piston rings Replace bent valve rods (replaced all rods I think?) New plugs New head gasket New Wheel arch stays New Front suspension arms (upper and lower), including new poly bushes New Track rod ends New Front headlight stays New Starter motor New Exhaust wrap New 4 point harnesses (TRS) New seats New indicator pods New front discs and pads New alternator New coil Last month I fitted a new head with bronze valve guides, an FR32 Camshaft and double springs, and had everything tuned with a classic specialist It has full wet weather gear consisting of 2 x doors, and a Soft Bits hood that has been customised to fit a narrow body. I’ve got 2 trailing arms (of 4 needed) and. Comes with exterior car cover too (cost £250 new) Couple of marks on body - Rear arch tops where the screens sit Inside of nose cone - looks like a Dremmel cut about an inch long, not hugely noticeable. Engine bay clean for age of car Chassis and underside good (again, for age of car!) I also have a A4 lever arch file of history, including pictures of the kit being delivered to first owner! I'm 5 ft 10 and fit it perfectly, I'd suggest 6 ft and less would be comfortable with the right footwear. £6,500 Ono. Located in Lincolnshire.

  5. British summer time begins on Sunday 26th March and so does the Kent area monthly breakfast meet! This is the first one so be sure to pop along and support the club We are meeting at - Jo’s Cafe, Brooklands (next to the Raceway), Romney Marsh, Kent, TN29 9TF 1000hrs for a breakfast and meet and greet! There is indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of parking for the cars. We can discuss what you all want to do throughout the year and further plans and ride outs etc… We hope to see a good turn out for the first one. There’s enough time to get those odd jobs done and your cars all ready (hopefully the weather will have improved too by then). ☀️ Look forward to meeting you and seeing your cars. All kit cars welcome too Ben. 7. If its just general cleaning then hot water with soap or a shampoo will work well even on algae/moss

  8. Oh goodness me... Well I hope they are more inclined to help given this situation but jeez you're having no luck with these at all and I do sympathise 'cos I know exactly how I'd feel in the same situation. I wouldn't throw it though, I'd launch it with something... Do please keep me informed.

  9. Hmm, I prefer a healthier fold-over than that when sewing it freestyle (without a binding attachment) - that way there is a resistance at the fold around the parent material, and gives a consistent width on the top side.

  10. Woollies trim arrived, just the job. Pre-folded on one edge which is perfect, makes life much easier.

  14. I am also sorry to hear this but also pleased that you are carrying on. I have found Hawke to be very easy to deal with and have provided fantastic pricing and service when I have dealt with them. Long may this continue. Good luck with the new avenue of business.

  15. Aye, sorry to hear this, but very understandable. Also I must apologise, and admit, I tend to forget about your workshop services side of the business. We really need to include you in the very small list of specialists we all refer to, when someone asks ho can do work on their Westfields.

  16. Sorry to hear this, but times are challanging in almost all business at the moment, hopefully we all can still suport Hawke and maybe some of the lucky ones close by in the south can use your additional services. good luck

  17. I've been on a fair few and everyone is normally well behaved. Videos that get views and do come up on searches tend to document the bad stuff or they are not that interesting. Also we all can make mistakes and ill hold my hand up couple of times I've thought whoops should not have done that. If you do spot a wrongun give them a wide berth or back off let them past. No biggy. its a great way to experience what your Westfield is all about and makes you a better driver on the road. go for it.

  19. Type 9 to Zetec Bell Housing (blacktop or ST170) with modification to allow use with Hydraulic or cable clutch. £35 I'm happy to post it nationwide for £10

  20. David, I don't think that Blyton is going to happen this year, unfortunately. In fact, I think that Terry did post about this a while ago. It isn't financially viable, because the support both from our Club members, and other invited clubs, has been falling for several years so that the weekend has been running at a loss, increasing year by year.
