@fatblokestu Yeah, that's the stuff. Best you use single-fold vinyl bias binding - that way you've a far better chance of catching the back-side of the binding (double-fold is a b**ch without a binding attachment on your sewing machine). If you've any tight curves, take it slow and you'll need to pucker the binding on the back-side - a small screwdriver can be used to help feed it under the presser foot. The excess on the backside can be trimmed by 'running' a sharp pair of scissors alongside the stitching.

Whoop, whoop! Big milestone today, 17st 13 5/8 this morning! Another half stone and I will make myself that comfy expanding foam seat 👍 Haven’t had the car out for what feels like ages, rubbish weather, salt and other commitments. Soon hopefully.

I have for sale a brand new Tillett B6 carbon 40 (edges removed) bottom mount seat. This seat unfortunately suffered very slight damage in shipping that we got some compensation for. I think it could easily be tidied up with some resin but there would always be a slight mark. I am offering at a huge discount. I only have this one. Well done Stu. I did slimming world 3 years ago just to get down from 16 clem. I managed to get down to 14.5 stone. I'm now back to 16 clem and cant get myself back to good habits. Shift work doesnt help. I eat all hours of the day and struggle with indegestion which if i eat often helps to keep it at bay. I used to snack on sugar snap peas instead of crisps and make my own pastys using a wrap. Need to get back in the habit and make the car faster for free.

Thanks for your reply Dave but Manchester is a bit far from me. Thanks for that information Julie. I didn't realise that a glass shop could supply laminated glass. I've contacted a local store and they will make one for around £60 to £70 (more proof of inflation!) provided I strip it out of the frame. So considerably cheaper than getting Autoglass involved.
