Low volume sports car makers exempt from the EU's 2035 IC engine ban. Good news unless they can't be sold in the UK as we're not in the EU...! https://www.hagerty.co.uk/articles/news-articles/low-volume-sports-car-makers-exempt-from-eu-2035-ban/2 points

Some SoftBits roof bars for me today, to help with my half hood project (converting a full roof as it’s all but impossible to get half hoods for narrow bodied cars now). Not cheap at £84 delivered, but saved me a load of messing and the curve should help tension and lift the roof a bit. They split in two easily which makes stowing them much simpler if I remove the roof when out. Now to cut them to size without messing up 🤪2 points

I am finally selling my Westfield SEIW as I simply haven’t had the time to use it over the last few years. The car was built and registered in 2006 (on a “06” plate) and has been owned by me since December 2012. Power comes from a 1.8 Ford Zetec engine, with Jenvey throttle bodies, there’s an Omex ECU, a fabulous short shift gearbox and a wonderfully sounding Oneoff exhaust. The result is a super quick car with a great soundtrack. The car was originally set up by Northampton Motorsport. Team Dynamics alloy wheels with Toyo R888s (including the unused spare) all with plenty of tread due to very limited use and mileage over the last few years. The car is finished in a lovely shade of blue. There is a very handy locking boot, plus a pair of slot-in deflectors, as well as the Westfield side screens, full weather gear and a very useful tonneau. Only ever used on the road in the last 10 years. The odometer reads 6,315 miles since the car was built and registered. Last MOT with no advisories in October 2022. The car runs, drives and stops just as a Westfield should. £10,0001 point

Hi, @Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO and I are heading to the "Curburgring" on Saturday for the Shadow Sport Cars and Coffee meet to watch the on track action. We are aiming to be there from about 10am for a couple of hours (track day runs until 3pm if you want to stay longer). The weather looks like it will be dry (if a little chilly) but the cafe will be open for a hot drink and a healthy saturated fat filled breakfast sandwich 😂 As always at Curborough, entrance and parking is free. Hope to see some of you there, tintops welcome if you aren't feeling brave👍1 point

There’s three of us from Geordieland heading up on Thursday and heading back on Monday. We’re camping too, although two of us have campers and the other has a roof tent thing (all trailering the westies/mnr)1 point

Not sure if this will do, it's a 7 speed rather than a 6 which is what mine is https://racecarsdirect.com/Advert/Details/135561/quaife-gearbox1 point

Gary/all. Just so you know for numbers etc I'll be coming along also, and staying in a tent. I'm not constrained to just weekends so will probably make this part of a longer trip over to the west coast (I'm near Aberdeen) so will be around there before and after the weekend to possibly join anyone planning runs outs on the Thurs/Fri/Mon if they want company. Should be quite an event with 16+ cars. Les1 point

Always liked GTM's later models, and had huge respect for what they did with GRP monocoques, trouble was, then along came the MGF, TF and Lotus Elise, followed later by the Boxster and Merc SLK and pulled a lot of the potential market out from under their more premium products1 point
