  1. 11 Westfield's, a MK, a Cortina and an Audi TT met in McD's ๐Ÿ˜€ Here is one at McD's, UK We did a great run out on a very different route to The Rambler Inn, Edale, although the choice of route meant that we didn't go UP Winnat's Pass, which is unforgivable but we have to have a change occasionally. The Rambler Inn Good views from The Rambler Inn Hedley has done an amazing job with the WSCC Social facebook page with almost a million views on one video, have a look yourself and lets make it a million for him, he very much deserves it. ๐Ÿ‘Hedley๐Ÿ‘ Lunch at The Rambler Inn, what an excellent pub this is, so welcoming and they love our cars. After lunch the tyre kicking began with Hedley showing his Super engine off And Lee surprising us with the Zetec engine on throttle bodies in the Cortina, not a 1200. Both Glen and Chris had a Cortina as a first car so it was very much admired, have a look yourself, Lee has done an amazing job on it. The weather was nice and it stays lighter later now so why hurry home? there is cake to be eaten and Quacker's has just about the best slice going, plus it is on the way home. We took the route down Winnat's Pass and along the Monsal Head road, the views have been particularly good today. We even got snapped by 'bikerpics' At Quacker's car park Our very own page 3 girl, Lee, parked separately Did I mention cake? that'll be an Andrew involved then, our winter season Andrew Cake Meister with his offerings. @Andy Westwood @aeg you guys have a lot of catching up to do when SORN ends. Hardy souls, we all sat outside at Quacker's cafe. Home time, so Steve didn't bother with a hat even๐Ÿ˜ฒwhile Vicky was wrapped up in her dry robe nice and warm, clever girl And Bagpuss keeping Ian, who was wearing shorts!, warm It has been a brilliant day, I was pleased with my route as it made interesting driving with both gradient and corners while giving good views. We never fail to enjoy our time at both the Rambler and Quacker's so we will keep coming back. Thank you to everyone that attended and to Rob for bringing most of them with him!

  2. Brilliant day out, thanks @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative ! I met up with Tim, John and Hedley at the usual A38/A50 services before heading north to Duffield. @HB46443 got a great video of us on the way.... https://fb.watch/iF1A7XXr2b/ Landing at the Shell garage in Duffield, we topped up with fuel. Within minutes Steve and Vicki landed so we grabbed some photos and waited for Michael to arrive. Michael owns a white Hyabusa engined MK Indy and I'd invited him along to sample the joys of the WSCC Peaks meets as he's considering joining the club. We then had a train of 6 cars scooting up to Matlock to meet the rest of the gang ๐Ÿ‘ What a line up, eleven Westfields, an MK Indy, Audi TT and a stunning 200bhp silvertop engined Cortina! I had the grandsprogs coming over for lunch so had to head home, leaving everyone else to do the magical mystery tour to Edale. It's always fun watching the cars leave, makes me realise how lucky I am to own one of these machines. The sounds of throttle bodied zetecs, superchargers, ecoboost turbo's, Honda Vtec, Rover V8, tuned redtops and a Hyabusa roaring away makes the petrolhead in me very happy. A consolation prize was a completely traffic free run home down the Via Gellia and my favourite B5056 to Fenny Bentley.... those that know me will know exactly what that meant ๐Ÿ˜‚

  16. Previous owner of mine had driven too far in to his garage and cracked one of the slats in our V8 nosecone, so I cut out all the slats and added some plastic 'audi' mesh.

  17. Look very similar to mine which I believe are AVO.

  18. Definaltely not Spax... The sticker is, (assuming they have not come from an ebay seller we turn a blind eye to.) but dampers are not Spax. They look like AVO or GAZ to me. Theres a lot of detail differences such as the knob, and top loop design which stand out as being AVO or GAZ. My bet would be GAZ.

  19. A beautiful day for a meet, chilly but dry and sunny. A late shout out on Saturday and we had a total of 6 Westfields, plus Tim's son in his Mk1 MX5, Michael in his 288GTO replica and Gavin in his electric Mercedes. We headed to the garages and pit wall to look at the Caterhams. Lots of Academy cars using the track day as a pre season shakedown test plus a few road cars like the 620R and 420R. Having done a track day at Donington (with at least one more planned this year) it was amazing to see how quick the Academy cars are around the track despite being only 125bhp! We had a good mooch around the garages chatting to a few of the owners, one ex racer was giving his mates passenger rides in his 620R. The faces on their return to the pits was hilarious ๐Ÿ˜‚ We also spotted a stunning series 3 Elan in the paddock between sessions. Completely original with its Lotus twin cam the owner was definitely having great fun mixing it with more modern machinery. Having had breakfast, Gavin, Tony, John, Dale and Michael headed home. Steve, Tim and myself snapped a quick photo.... Before heading for the Factoryheads Cafe and the Superbike Factory at the other end of the circuit for a coffee. A brilliant few hours with good friends and lovely cars, thanks everyone for coming along. Hopefully see you all again next weekend ๐Ÿ‘
