  3. So first proper run out of the new year this morning with Ronald and his newly acquired Robin Hood over to Brodie country fayre for breakfast and to meet up with Barry in his newly acquired 265 cup Elise . A bit fresh and damp underfoot, so a steady run along the main roads to Elgin and onto Brodie, where coffee and a full breakfast were consumed, then with Barry’s wife shopping the lads went out and talked cars for a bit . Then Ronald and myself headed over the Dava moor with some snowy and icy roads that concentrated the mind and a wee snow shower just to cheer us up, fuelled up we headed home up speyside, 4 1/2 hours out with great company and fantastic roads , there really is great fun to be had in the winter months.

  4. Well that was another adventure. When I spoke to the pub on Thursday to verify that they were open for breakfast on Sunday morning, I was told that they were open from 10. Getting there at quarter to, I found the car park gate closed. I saw someone in the car park and asked what time they open and was told that they decided on Saturday not to open! Never mind, we managed to find another pub a mile up the road open. Good to meet up after Christmas, even if we only had the 1 Westfield, thanks @Tony R for coming in the V8, nice to meet you.

  5. AP tandem master cylinder, only done a few hundred miles from new, excellent condition all around. If you look closely enough you can still see production markings from the rocking horse! £290 including recorded UK delivery to mainland only. Overseas shipping not a problem and charged at cost.

  6. In the spirit of mutual support, around -1lb for me this last week. I can cheat by weighing myself after an exercise session as I usually sweat off a pound or so ….but I try to avoid that as the following day usually sees a more normal figure. As long as it’s negative, it’s good.

  8. Took the opportunity of some dry weather to wash the car - I was tempted to take it out for another run, but need to get on with those winter jobs, starting with improving the fan effectiveness by sealing the gap between the fan bracket and radiator. The results of Friday's run out...

  9. I spoke to the previous Westfield management, years ago now, (Julian Turner), in a private capacity, regards use of the logo/trade marks. Now, I was only asking as I wanted to add some logo’s parts to my then new Mega S2000 build, that the factory didn’t offer, and wanted to do it “right”, (being a fairly visible Club/committee member); they were pretty good to be fair, and quite OK with me using the sunburst logo, and/or Westfield tm script, as well as the Mega S2000 script on the car on parts they didn’t manufacture/supply. With a few provisos: The permission was ONLY for me, though they would be happy to do the same for others, I couldn’t get multiple copies made of something and sell the others IYSWIM. No changes or additions to the trademarked items, they must be as used by the factory regards proportions, spacing etc. They mustn’t be combined with other text or logos, either directly, or by spacing, to imply “another meaning” - basically don’t put words in the factories mouth, that could reflect badly on them. So for personal stuff, fair usage rules seemed to be fine. Obviously we have new owners in charge now, so they may have different views; I’d be very surprised (and disappointed) if personal fair usage wasn’t still ok, subject to the above points. But once they’re up and running, and not flat out getting the parts department going, as they currently are, I’ll perhaps have the conversation with them, about whether the Club in principle, can use the logo etc on publicity materials, etc.

  15. I sourced some fabric sew on badges recently from here. https://patcholand.pt/en/ the quality seems really good. I plan to use mine to replace the caterham badge on the headrest of the seats I have bought. I will include in my build diary when I reach that stage.

  16. Whilst the causes may be very different for me Dave, I too lost around 7 stone before lockdown started, but then for some reason fell off my metaphorical horse and during lockdown I managed to put about 90% of it back on. I KNOW I can do it again, but as you say it is a lot more difficult second time around. This pic is my motivation. Over 20st vs 13st 10. Same shirt, was probably unironed in the first pic too, but was stretched so tight the creases didn’t show 😱 🤣

  17. In my opinion it is never your fault, we are all differrent and some soak up happily what will fell a horse never mind a person. What I was advised is to look at things differently, ask your self what will happen if you do not finish the loft? They wait a bit longer so why put yourself under pressure when in the scheme of things does it matter enough to make you ill. It is the ability to see when you are asking too much of yourself and then change that is key to getting control back. I hate to say it but I have a family member who I would say just never gives a F...., he breezes through life and is happy does well enough but will never push himself. If asked why he simply says why should I? When I can see I am getting frustrated and sad with it I just step back and think what does it matter and it seems to work for me to re balance, but it is never your fault if you feel the way you do just learn to stop pressurising your self too much
