  1. You do like a laugh don’t you! . The new guys are most excited to see where they can take the new brand. I know you’re not numb Mr C by any stretch of the imagination. I also assume you, like most of us, will have seen the pictures of the factory move, and the start of the set up of the new parts department, all over the course of the last few weeks and months. So I’m pretty sure you, like anyone with half a brain, will know that it was never likely to be fully open again in 2022, and that the start of 2023 was most likely to be the goal, which it is. January, hopefully early, Jan, but given all the disruption with carriers etc, late Jan may be more achievable, will see things like the parts shop back open. And as for daft, baiting posts like this, you do know you’re supposed to do the whole bah humbug thing before a Christmas, don’t you?

  8. The hardcopy of the 2023 Blue Book is published and available from MSUK Membership Services. The 2023 online version actually went online then was pulled almost immediately for some amendments. It should be available 'soon'

  12. Last update of the year. progress has slowed a bit recently as a change of career and the cold weather has meant I’ve not made it out to the workshop quite so often. I was fortunate to source a set of the correct Dunlop CR65 Tyres in the right size second hand, they’ve got some age to them and probably not ideal for serious racing but at 1/10th the price of a new set they’ll be fine for setting up the geometry and getting everything rolling and pointing in the right direction. For now I’ve put these onto a set of minilites till I work out what to do with the JA Pearce Magna’s. with the car now at a rolling stage and with not much more to bolt on other than the bodywork I decided to give e it a weigh, 105kg on the front axle, 140kg on the rear giving a dry weight of 245kg and 57/43% across the axles. over Christmas I hope to get the firewall in and the fuel system finished I still need to fit the pump and filter, as well as terminate all the electrics at the rear. There might be a pause after that as the final job I’ve been putting off for a long while is the bodywork. I’ve started stripping back the layers of filler and paint revealing it’s original gold colours from the Racing Car Show. There’s also a lot of damage that needs repairing, so I need to find somewhere experienced with aluminium bodywork and probably also wheeling. Before that can happen though I also need to buy a bigger trailer that the car will fit on. A couple of pictures to finish

  13. Small update. Tried various "ergonomic" seats, but none of them really cater for my height. Either the headrest sits somewhere on my shoulders, or the seat pad is too small, or it's just not comfortable. Have brought a Herman Miller Aeron from the office to at least replace the crap chair I'm using. I'm about to try out my son's Noble chair for a day, but having seen the Obutto, it got me thinking... to be continued...
