  1. Well numpty here didn't think to check the forum before setting off (in the tin top) to Quackers only to find I was the only car in the car park. I thought maybe someone could have parked round the back of the cafe so I walked up but nobody was around. So having called Julie and got the 'gen' I kept up the cake tradition and had a slice of cherry bakewell then took some photos before I drove home. All very festive. I have to say the weather wasn't that bad and the roads are clear (if filthy from the salt spreading), but it is hovering round 0C so now I am back home in front of the wood burner.

  2. Had a good, long, lonely swim, that's the easy bit, it's stripping off outside to get changed that's the hard bit, the tents on the right hand side are the changing rooms. I got to try out my new batteries in the heated gloves and they are good, so we will try again next Sunday on the Santa Run, finger's crossed and keep an eye on the post.

  3. @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative we know who has the common sense in the family 🤔 got off the train in Stratford and straight into the coffee shop, Becky the weather girl said dry with a light breeze ! There’s 3 inches of snow and it’s freezing!

  4. My gloves are Sealskinz Heated Gloves and I bought them from Cotswold Outdoor in Bakewell. Like Rob has said they are pricey, even with the 10% off that I had. Also I think @AndrewBClarke bought heated liners? and then you can wear whichever kind of glove you like on top, excellent idea.

  6. Well I am going for an outdoor swim and Glen will be guarding the real fire in the New Bath Hotel while he waits for me. You knew we wouldn't be doing anything normal though didn't you?

  8. Mine are Keis inner gloves. Can plug into a battery pack or heated jacket. The jacket/glove combination is fantastic but the power for both together are too much for a battery pack so they plug into the car. Advantage is that you are not time limited if powered by car which is good in my case as I travel for hours and a battery would be no good. If you consider these, go onto the Keis website, put the goods in your basket, proceed to payment and insert details. Then withdraw from the purchase and wait. A 10% off voucher will be received the following morning!!

  9. I've got some like this for about £50 on amazon that have their own batteries. Sealskin are very good but do cost twice as much

  12. Hi Ian. I have done about 1200 miles in it so far. She's on the ramp ready for a good service. Going to town on it. New wheels and exhaust too. Plan to do many miles next year and go to a few shows. What I do want to do is create more interest around my area and do a few meets etc
