  1. Got home from work yesterday and had a parcel turn up from the postman! Lo and behold itโ€™s my new storm cover that I ordered in June from Soft Bits for Sevens. Will trial fit tomorrow and post some pictures, letโ€™s hope it was worth the wait ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ

  3. The ice melted here today, the batteries have arrived for my electric gloves, so we are ready to roll in the morning. Just in case of any confusion with this meet and the Santa Run next weekend WE ARE MEETING AT QUACKERS AND WEARING NORMAL CLOTHES THIS WEEK I will hide the other post until tomorrow evening

  4. If the stars align, and Mrs Stu grants permission, I MAY be able to pop along to Matlock and say hello. Iโ€™m staying at relatives in Bakewell over the weekend. How long do you expect to be in Matlock for?

  5. @fatblokestu as Ian has said above, we will be at McD's for a good half hour and it is definitely worth going to Quackers 12.30/1 ish, or indeed at any time if you are staying nearby. It will be great to meet you๐Ÿ‘

  8. That sounds great. I doubt very much that we'll leave MCD's before 10:30am. Also the finish at Quackers isn't far from Bakewell either.

  9. It's that time of the month again, so for those of you who don't like going to Manchester area meets in Sunny Manchester, this months meeting will be at The Walton Fox, Bamber Bridge, Preston PR5 6BZ. We will be joining our friends from the NWKCOG for a Christmas get together at 19.00pm. Food is available. it's best to pre order. See you there.

  10. Well, driving over to Bakewell earlier, there was a measurable depth of grit and salt on the '13 bends'. The temperature got down to -5C last night here and is meant to drop lower tonight and tomorrow, so I expect there may be more spreading over the next 48 hours... You might find and untreated stretch somewhere, but that may take you straight into the hedge. Luke.

  11. Yes, I read that. Seems a bit cheeky for them to claim ethanol free except for such a large area as Devon, Cornwall, North Wales, North England and Scotland! On that basis I could claim to be alcohol-free except for beer, wine and gin ๐Ÿ™‚

  12. I did that today when I went to fuel up the Westfield, one of the batteries has died, new one ordered and Amazon Prime are delivering tomorrow. it's salty here but it gets rinsed off after a day out

  13. Thanks Rob, might get a jerrycans worth - I'm just under half a tank in the Westfield, but obviously, the more I drive round in it looking, the more urgent it gets when the garage has none! Like you, I've always heard good comments about it, though not the manufacturer being the same. That's interesting, but hopefully not a sign of limited availability!

  14. In Bristol last night approx 1830hrs you could see Moon, Mars, Uranus (very feint) and Jupiter in a line from Moon @ 7 O'clock to Jupiter @ 1 o'clock - my kids loved it! Went to get tripod and headed out to 'dark hill' but cloud front had swept in - booo no pictures

  16. Great views from Wokingham in Berkshire this morning. Blooming cold, but worth getting up for. Just had a little scope with me but viewed at x200 for when the planet slid behind the Moon and then reappeared an hour later.
