  1. Went for a drive. No particular place to go. But enjoyed 50 miles of dryish roads before the rain comes back tomorrow!

  3. Now SOLD. Thanks for looking! Hello all. I'm looking to sell my 1989 Westfield, and I thought this might be the right place to try! It's the ex-John Loudon / Peter O'Connor Hillclimb car, now returned to the road. John spent well over £40k on development of this car that held many records and won several championships. it would be THE car to enter the road-going class next year. It has a dry-sump 223hp Puma 1650cc screamer, with a recently rebuilt Elite sequential box and Tran-X LSD. Just been set up on Dave Walker's dyno at Emerald in Norfolk and it drives perfectly. (Although it is a handful!) It has wide track rose jointed suspension, Quantum shocks, drilled discs and alloy calipers front and rear, quick rack, bias pedal box, and more. There's a ton of spares; brand new Tillet passenger seat, second set of Force Racing wheels with Avon slicks, a set of Avon wets, new rear body tub, several new and used rear arches, diff and half shafts, springs, plugs and lubricants, an assist battery on Anderson plug, and more. I have a good number of photos and a full spec list if anyone's interested. I paid £14.5k for it, but have since spent another £2000 getting it sorted out and road ready. I'm aware it's the wrong end of the year to sell, so I would accept £14k for a quick sale. Edited to say: I’m 5’9” and 72kg and it fits me perfectly. Any taller or er… heavier and you may struggle to get in - or out! Please feel free to email me on c_o_o_p@hotmail.com Thanks for looking.

  4. Its a great car and well built on the whole. I ended up getting it from Toybox in Feb 2020.... it had only done 800 miles at that point, I've done another 10,000 since then despite the lockdowns so she's being enjoyed!

  5. SORN? What's that? Who needs a heater, windscreen or doors when you're slightly unhinged and have a Westfield umbrella?! 😂

  6. Fret not, I'm sure the Nigerian AO will ensure all the local members contact you to ensure your bank account details are safe and secure and any attempts to empty it via bogus T-shirt sales will be fully monitored, similarly all Russian and N. Korean Area Organisers are waiting and ready to assist 🤣

  7. Can I very respectfully ask if you've all considered carefully whether it should be a Public group or a Private but Visible one? For those who may not know, Public means that anyone can see who the members are and what they post and FB will share every post you make to all your FB friends including those who aren't group members. Also FB recently changed the rules so that anyone can join a public group without approval and then make posts, thus leaving such groups wide open to spammers and scumbags. Private but Visible means anyone can see that the group is there and see detailed info on it, but need to request to join (and be approved to join) before they can see posts & member details or post themselves. Posts you make are not shared outside the group. Many of the groups I'm in have switched Public to Private since the FB changes. Many of the other 7/Kitcar groups are set to Private. As an aside, a Private setting may have avoided the Jim Gould issue too. Personally I'm much more inclined to contribute to Private groups than Public ones. Hence the question.

  9. As a Westfield is IVA'd it does not have to meet the full type approval and therefore does not have a CO2 output in g/km. It falls into tax class 11 which is £295 for over 1549cc.

  11. Really good to see the club pursuing all avenues to keep the members informed and communicate events etc - this will definitley help when trying to draw ex-members back or indeed attract new joiners.

Note to get to the FB site quickly, we now have a direct link on the forums main navigation ribbon: If you click on/mouse over the "WSCC" label arrowed above, you will see a pop up ribbon with all our external club links, including Instagram, YouTube and now Facebook. Once again, thank you for your patience and feedback as we get this up and running.

  16. I joined tonight and, as I thought, didn't need approval. 170 there already so I hope they're all from here and not Nigeria!
