  1. One of my pearls of wisdom - a Colonialism, if you like - “I like humanity; it’s people I can’t stand”.

  8. Used to 'drive' (read as steer) my gran's burgundy 1981 Mk1 1.1 Ghia up her driveway and into the garage as a 3/4 year old (whilst sitting on her knee). Did the same with my Grandpa's SD1 Vitesse too, much preferred the V8 as it had lighter steering.

  9. there is a side to Social Media unfortunately, that is less pleasant. We hope to stay away from that within our own group.

  10. Agreed but we all know where the quality advice, knowledge and friendship mostly lies! How many times have you seen examples from non- Westie owners advising Westie owners to 'K-swap it', as K20's are so cheap and easy to get to 300bhp etc. Even though once you factor in the dry sump kit, gearbox adapter etc, it's not so cheap hence why so few have been done etc. Best just let people make their own decisions and find out where they want to 'reside' on social media etc.

  12. One and all Ash, but of narrower scope than the forum, so no stuff that here would be members only, no sales, no commercial posts - except by Club Traders/Sponsors. The intent is to feed traffic both ways, Forum to FB, FB to Forum, along with trying to get area FB pages involved, where possible, for a more unified look.

  13. Just over a week to go for calendar submissions, we've had a great response so far with over 150 photos now in contention! I have downloaded and replied to every one I have received so far, however it does look like some have gone walkabout. As such, if you haven't had a handwritten reply by my fair hand confirming receipt (or if you have received a WeTransfer email to say your files haven't been downloaded and expired) then there is a good chance I never got the submission so please send it over again to westfieldworld@gmail.com Any queries please just drop me and email or a DM on here and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks!

  15. @HB46443 @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman This seems to be causing some confusion, is it worth clarifying intentions to avoid any negativity? https://www.facebook.com/groups/SevenSpot/permalink/3380420845528638/

  21. It's fall here in Montana which means it can be 65° and sunny (like when I took these photos a few days ago) or it can be 30° and snowing like it is today. We've gotten a foot (30 cm) so far and it's still coming down. That makes the memory of taking these sunset photos a few days ago all the more special. The snow will melt in a few days and it will be time for a cool weather blat before real winter arrives. dave
