I jest of course, but you must admit it does look a bit like a toy bus! I ordered this Carcoon Evo some time ago, and it was a couple of weeks later arriving than expected, but I’m glad it’s here now. I had wanted a custom size to fit the garage better but as they don’t seem to be offering that currently, had to go for their size 3L which is a little long for comfort. It still seems to work ok though. I’ve popped a passive dehumidifier in there for good measure too. It was fairly easy to get setup, and inflates remarkably quickly (I thought so anyway, just a few minutes). Very pleased to have the car nice and snug for winter, and it’s not too much of a hassle to get the car out should there be some nice weather to enjoy. EDIT I discovered I had not put the outer filters on, so it now looks slightly less cartoony!6 points

Wow, didn’t expect to find a thread on here relating to my other hobby, astronomy! Fessing up to my inner nerd here! 🤣🤣 Forecast not looking great tomorrow, but may get a gap sometime during it. Will probably put a solar scope out to have a look if it looks promising. These are my bigger solar boys for when conditions are good. Also a couple of shots from a much fuller eclipse back in 2015 I think. The third picture is probably near what tomorrow’s will look like. Goes without saying, don’t look at the sun without solar eclipse glasses or a properly filtered scope. End of nerd mode 😉3 points

It's fall here in Montana which means it can be 65° and sunny (like when I took these photos a few days ago) or it can be 30° and snowing like it is today. We've gotten a foot (30 cm) so far and it's still coming down. That makes the memory of taking these sunset photos a few days ago all the more special. The snow will melt in a few days and it will be time for a cool weather blat before real winter arrives. dave3 points

Excellent! If you had been sat in it, it might have looked like a huge power slide 🤣🤣 I recall driving mine up the hills in Bath in the snow in the early nineties, great fun!2 points

A quick reminder that the calendar submission deadline is 4th November so gather your best photo before then! Please note: The email problems seem to be getting worse so for anything calendar/magazine related please contact me via the Gmail account(westfieldworld@gmail.com) which seems reliable. @marcusb Yes, received yours to the Gmail but not the editor@ one (again) 🙄2 points

Meet at The Strines Inn, Mortimer Rd, Bradfield Dale, Sheffield, S6 6JE, 11am, Saturday 29th October. This is a social gathering and not our usual drive out, so you are welcome in any kind of car, but obviously we would love to see lot's of Westfield's. I will be doing a pick up at our usual meeting point of McDonald's, Matlock , leaving at 10am, for anyone who would like to come with us. All welcome, who is coming?1 point

Fairly sure most tyres are manufactured far east…. Energy, H&S, raw materials, labour and state help to set up new factories with new equipment is quite a draw. Continental car tyres say engineered in germany. Where as their peddle bike tyres say Made in Germany!1 point

Did you like my first lesson in Photoshop. That Image took three hours of YouTube training!1 point

2017 - 1st day of ownership, Belfast ferry terminal, complete with underslung exhaust and inset rear wheels. The year before I made the tough decision to sell my classic car I still had tucked away back in NZ, that I vowed never to sell, but it looked it I wasn't returning home any time soon - so, I needed something special to cherish over here, and a 7-esque had always been a wish-list car. After about a year searching for the right car at the right price, I found our one on Autotrader, just north of the border with Ireland. That was on the Thursday, we booked one-way Ryanair flights to Derry on the Friday, flew over on the Sat, and got a rental car with a non-return drop-off at Belfast airport - we were either flying back, or ferry. Previous owner was a police/forces driving instructor, and in 18 years/three owners, the car only had 13k on the clock.1 point

Started off a dry ride out for a pizza in the cars. Ended up terrential sideways rain!! The Soft bits roof was great, I didn’t get too wet at all. The wipers stopped, lucky I had some spare fuses and the Toyo 888r’s kept my concentration all the way home! The pizza was great and still I enjoyed a drive out1 point
