The Great British Car Journey, Ambergate, Derbyshire, DE56 2HE are hosting a daytime gathering, following their successful Friday evening gatherings through the summer months. Details are below:- STOP PRESS!! After many requests, we have decided to organise a weekend daytime Gathering on Saturday 19 November. More details will be announced on social media soon. We will have some great car-related Christmas gifts and offers, plus mulled wine and hot drinks with Baileys will be served in the café. Take a break from Christmas shopping of the more boring kind and join us instead!! I will update this post as further details are released. Glen and I will be going, hope to see you there.

We will be there as long as our boat passes it’s safety certification today. If it doesn’t then I may well be found floating facedown somewhere.

As an eternal optimist I am not cancelling this event but, this afternoon I have tested positive for Coronavirus, I will keep you updated and if I test negative by the weekend then it is ON. I came back from a cycle ride yesterday and did not feel my usual self, I had a tickle at the back of my throat, overnight I have had a sinus pain/headache/bone ache. I took 2 paracetemols this morning and felt ok, ok enough to get back on my cycle today, this afternoon I was still not 100% PLUS I am supposed to take my mum to hospital for an operation at 7.30 am tomorrow, so I tested just to make sure, good job I did! Glen is testing negative at the moment.
