Not very scenic photos I’m afraid, but I took my little eight year old out for her first trip in the car today. She screamed with a kind of terrified excitement much of the way down to Lyme Regis, but then was just silently enjoying it on the way home, still hanging onto her (mummy’s) sunglasses for dear life though! 🤣 Managed to find a space in the lower car park and had a little wander on the beach which was nice.7 points

A cracking day out , very autumnal and fresh this morning as I headed to Huntly for fuel and avoid the closed road I’d normally use then it was off to Aboyne on lovely roads only seeing a couple of cars and a tank !!! On the way. At Aboyne the outer layer was cast off and William arrived, after a wee blether it was time to crack on over the old military road to cairn o mount and down to Clatterin Brig cafe for lunch. Then back up cairn o mount to the viewpoint for some pictures before a cracking run back to Huntly where we came on a looong convoy of camper vans ….. so attack mode was engaged and some fun was had on a superb stretch of twisty tarmac lol. At huntly we separated for home, a glorious day out.6 points

Hi Simon , not staying Thursday night but if your out for a run Friday head east from gairloch to Kinlochewe down to sheildaig then take the coast road to applecross ( lunch at the walled garden is good ) over the pass then you come to a T junction go right to Loch carron then follow the road to achnasheen roundabout ( midgie bite cafe just to the right) go left and head back towards Kinlochewe as you crest the big hill there’s a great viewpoint on your right and on back to Gairloch or right at the roundabout and follow the road back to a T junction go left on the Ullapool road up over and past the dam and as you go back down hill go left at corrieshalloch gorge ( a wee wander to see it) and back round to gairloch this way cheers Gary1 point

Hi Bernie! After a little search, I found what you were thinking of. Looks perfect, track day at CC and 1 hour of tuition for £80 extra. I'll try and get that booked in as soon as time allows! (Initially, I only found the "staying sharp" programme from MSE. Half a day tuition: £900. I'm sure it's great and worth every penny, but the colour photocopier in the basement is currently out of ink. So I need to actually earn the bucks first...) Thank you all for the advice, I believe I got exactly what I was looking for!1 point
