Hi all, I thought I would introduce myself. I have posted a couple of topics recently to help me get some information on what I should be looking for. Not bought the car yet just about to start tracking one down. Is it a good time or would Spring be a better option. I am an ex biker as of a couple of weeks decided to call it a day after 40 years off and on. Sadly don’t feel safe any more just to many numpties that don’t see bikes. I felt like a ticking time bomb waiting for the time I miss it and get hit. I am volunteer Marshal for motorsport UK and a member of Torbay MC. if your ever at Wiscombe in Devon watching or competing I will probably be there. Can’t miss us the orange army ☺️ Cheers for now Rob6 points

Westfield SEIGHT V8 3.5Ltr 2005. I bought this in April after selling my Exocet. I sold the Exo to make way for a new project (as I only have a small single garage) but then this popped up and I couldn’t resist, I have always wanted a SEiGHT. The day after buying it we took it on a 260-mile round trip from the south coast to Santa Pod and it drove flawlessly. Well, we have had a cracking summer in it and it is a thoroughly fantastic car, but I am really missing the track days and so am selling so I can make room for an Aerorace or similar. 12700 miles verified by MOT history (I put about 1500 of those on, this summer), 4 owners. I am not sure when in its history, but it’s clearly been through the hands of the guys at Toybox at some point. I am being lazy here and re-using the ad (below) from which I bought it, and added a photo that I took at Brands on Saturday. It’s in East Sussex. I don’t have to sell and so won’t be taking any offers. I’m listing on here in the hope that members will recognise it as a great, solid, honest car, and therefore lead to a straightforward sale. I have switched the number plate to the ‘legal’ one (WO05 HVB) but the ‘WOOSH V8’ plates are included. I'm no engineer/mechanic but am happy to take any and all questions, provide extra photos or videos, arrange viewings, etc. Looks stunning, sounds amazing. Last MOT (April) – no advisories, well maintained, comprehensive history file that includes Westfield brochures, sales invoices, approval docs & construction manuals Runs on Edelebrock carbs, inlet manifold and filter. In my ownership I had a new distributor, high energy Lucas coil and remote module kit fitted. Together with a specialist tuning, the car has been 100% reliable. Adjustable GAZ coilover shocks are fitted enabling a set-up to suit requirements. Aesthetic upgrades include carbon effect stripes, stone guards, rear lamp sets and cycle wings. Improvements include a full set of Team Dynamics Motorsport wheels, all are in unmarked, excellent condition. Inside are yellow piped sports adjustable seats, Willans four point belts and a full set of original VDO gauges that all work as they should. Comprehensive all-weather gear includes wind deflectors, side screens, hood and tonneau. Also included is an indoor fitted cover. All this, including the private plate £15,5001 point

I overheard the chap who owned this at Shelsey Walsh probably 5 years ago. IIRC he bought this accident damaged without an engine so fitted a mazda engine and box and did the bodywork. Again a few years back but I recall he used some cobra wing part on it to get the shape. Regardless of how it looks it was flawless finish1 point

Hi ,Rob. Shame you felt vulnerable on the bike/road. My only fear was being caught speeding, so easy on the bike. I never felt at risk myself. Good luck finding a car.1 point

Welcome @Rob Waldronfrom just across the border in Somerset, about 45 mins away. Good luck finding a car, as said there are some really nice spec ones around for what look like decent prices currently. Hoping to finally get my car down here this weekend from Berkshire where it is stored.1 point

Welcome, they're not quite as seasonal as they once were. Spring used to see the most cars for sale, but then at the highest prices. Winter, fewer but with "softer" prices. Now people just seem to sell when they're ready to sell, much more. Some great cars available at the moment, too.1 point

Breakfast meeting/show went well yesterday. Starting off with Breakfast at the Redbeck cafe, which is an old transport cafe complete with formica topped tables and a decent full English. 6 of us went to the show at Ackworth, the first one they've held. We parked up on the cricket field just in front of the fun fair. We made quite an entrance with the 6 cars, and had the biggest one make club there.1 point

@Rob Waldron My car is somewhat trapped in the garage due to domestic oil tank replacement work, plus the weather looks questionable so think I will be taking the tin top tonight. You would obviously be welcome to join us, not sure how many Westfields might be there though. As Matt above, could arrange to come to Honiton when weather permits.1 point

@Rob Waldron There is a possibility I might not bring the car tonight due to the weather unfortunately, if it stays dry I will bring it but I don’t like taking it out in the rain. If I don’t bring it tonight I can pop down to Honiton tomorrow evening or over the weekend if that’s ok 👍🏼 (Weather permitting)1 point

Shame I won’t be there on Thursday as I have a narrow bodied SEi, I’m in Crewkerne. The car is actually up in Bershire currently but I should get it down within September. I’m just shy of 6’ and 19 stone (hence the name! 😱😂) and I do just about fit in but remove the seat and sit on the floor to give myself enough legroom. Obviously a lot depends on build and leg length. There are sentimental reasons why I own my car, and I won’t change it but a wide body would make a lot more sense for me. The positive thing is it is a great incentive to lose weight! 😜1 point
