  3. Early start for me this morning helping Gary fit some new wheels to the MEV Rocket before heading down to the Curburgring. The weather forecast was good, so of course I hit rain on the way down and then we had a bit more minutes after we all arrived 🤦‍♂️ Despite the changeable weather we had a great turnout with a good showing of Westfields (Tony, Colin, Stuart, Dale and myself) plus some of the local NWKCOG guys coming along too in a MEV, MK and GBS. Julie and Glen had driven down in their MX5, Nigel doing his James Bond impression in his beautiful Aston Martin and Del brought the gorgeous TR6 out to play. Tim also arrived up a little later with his son in his MX5. The damp weather made for some fun on track action with some over enthusiastic MX5 owners doing some artistic pirouettes in various places around the circuit, thankfully no harm done though (except some brown trousers I suspect! 😂). Great to see you all, hope you all got home safely 👍

  7. I am trying to arrange the 2022 season awards dinner at a venue that does not want to bankrupt everyone. I have managed to provisionally book the Jurys Inn Hotel Hinkley Island (LE103JA) for Sat evening 28th Jan 2023. Everyone is welcome and there will be prizes and other stuff like a raffle and auction as long as we get good support and attendance. So could anyone who wants to attend please contact me asap Dinner is £35 a head and include 3 course meal and wine on the table. Rooms are available at £100 single occupancy and £115 for a double occupancy terry.everall@gmail.com

  8. Thank you to @Rob Hunter Derby & Notts AO for this event, it has been a fine gathering of motors of all sorts making for a very interesting morning. 2 hands and only 1 mouth hey Hedley😂 Our cute little MX5 that is such a pleasure to drive, love it. Derek's TR6, immaculate all round, lovely to see Overview of the parking area MX5 in disguise, limited edition MEV I wondered down to the paddock and took some photo's, when I got back and Glen saw this photo he asked if I had sneaked a crafty track moment in😀 At only £45 per car this day was a bargain Tim's ride for the day I was interested to see what tyres the MX5 owner's were using and it seems there is no hard and fast rules. I saw lot's of Nankang NS2R, Michelin Pilot Sport 4 on the racing car, ToyoT1R, Yokohama Advansport and many more. @NigelO still didn't wear his suit despite bringing his Aston Martin, never mind, it was still nice to see him and have our usual laughs. Great morning out, nice to be back at Curborough, we didn't realise how much we have missed it.

  12. The Autumn magazine has only just started going out the end of last week, what normally happens once a magazine publishing date is close, is that we hold back sending out packs, so that we can include the latest copy. Please note, though it can take a week or so for the magazines to all get delivered, I’ve not had mine yet either, though some have landed today.

  15. A very sad day; what an amazing lady. I will chose to remember her in this photo, oh to know what Philip said to make her laugh. I’m glad she was at home in Balmoral where she felt most relaxed and at peace.

  16. As I simply can't compete with Gary's vistas, I parked the car yesterday in the shade and passing an upstairs window couldn't help but take this photo, not often do I get to see the car from above.
