  7. How did I not see that coming... D'OH... OK, so this needs a proper plan. Last Sunday of September will be Petrolheads, weather permitting, then a short drive to both the Air Forces Memorial and then the JFK memorial. I shall bring my passport. Thanks lads, that will be a good day.

  9. I'm back again. This was for sale back in June but i had a change of heart and kept the car. Well yesterday i put a deposit on a more track focused kit car ( going to dark side with an MNR Vortx....sorry )and as much as i would love to keep this for the road i just don't have the room. It is a 1999 SEIW car on a V plate and it's fair to say it is in amazing condition for it's year. I looked at a view before buying this one It's running a Vauxhall 2 litre engine with a Garrett turbo. Custom built plenum , high capacity ducted radiator, blue Samco hoses, oil catch tank , facet fuel pump with swirl pot and pressure regulator , custom headers heat wrapped and DTA ecu.All engine sensors replaced 18 mths ago. Battery is fitted in the boot. Gearbox is a 5 speed Ford type 9 with a SDC performance clutch and a 3.28 limited slip diff Interior is all in blue with very comfortable Westfield sports seat on adjustable runners ( i'm 6ft 2 and could fit in it all ok ). Quick release steering wheel , USB and power plug point , passenger footrest.New just fitted Luke seat harnesses Wide track front with adjustable shocks all round. Front and rear anti roll bars Team dynamic 15 inch wheels running 205 front and 225 rear Toyo R888 tyres ( rears have only done 500 miles ).Hi spec 4 pot front calipers and braided brake lines all round on vented brake discs. Bodywork is in gleaming yellow and is in very good condition. V8 style bonnet. It comes with side doors , Soft bits roof with it's own bag and a full weather roof too, all in blue to match the interior. Carbon effect rear arch stone guards. RAC roll bar with new rose joints. Just fitted new NV carbon performance front muduards, rear boot cover and rear diffuser. Lights are LED front and clear rear lights with LED fog and reversing lights. Front indictors are mini motorbike LED ones. In May i took the car to BHPerformance . It started off at 210bhp and by the end of some mapping made 245 bhp with 231 ft/lb of torque. The car was still making power but the injectors were maxed out so with some VXR injectors and then advancing the ignition i was told there is more to come. To be honest it's quick enough as it is and it pulls like a train. I had the car serviced with oil and filter, new spark plugs in April and it has MOT till 21/04/2023. The mileage is now 17800 ( ish ). It went in for a coolant change a few weeks ago at the start of August and at that time it was noticed that a seal had gone on one of the drive shafts and was just starting to leak a very small amount. I could have just ignored it and sold the car but i want it doing as i want to sell it how i would expect to buy it. It's currently sat at Classics sports cars in Stourport waiting on the seal to be changed, they are very busy there so hoping to have it back towards the end August I've got loads of old MOT'S and folder full of invoices and the yellow front mudguards. I'm based in Walsall, West Mids. £13000

  12. I've been to Runnymede a few times now for the last-Sunday-of-the-month meet-up, and I was aware of this memorial. Didn't realise they were in the immediate vicinity of each other though I'm going to go down there this evening and have a look

  13. Well after having to work 6 days this week just so we could come and enjoy a day out with friends, even the weather was well behaved . Here’s some photos of the day taken by the better half ? The nice quiet back roads being followed by 2 breakfasts @BillyPee playing dodge the cyclist taking photos of silly people taking photos something is wonky !! Car, tree or horizon, take your pick but Becky says it’s not her and so much for the 4 week beach body diet…… and after drying the oil off the plug leads and tightening the cam cover bolts and still driving home farting popping and banging I can confirm it was f**** all to do with that 🤬 it was this so I apologise to all the people that I scared to death on the way home with the pops and bangs and the cars I held up trying to pull away from lights, junctions and islands . But thanks all for a great day out and see you all next time, luv Andy and Becky

  14. We met at McD's and ABC proudly showed us the mighty Rover 3.9l V8 and that he had tidied up the wiring after issues with the fuel pump last week Soon Bagpuss roared into the car park the line up just before Andy and Becky arrived The first car in shot is David and Freddie's, a Duratec engined car that will be for sale very soon The Duratec engine bay Everyone likes to pour over engine bays After a refreshment stop some folk had other plans and went on their way. The rest followed us for a photo shoot on Longstone Edge As shown in the previous post, Ian also took some photo's, photographing you photographing me. I don't know who is the daftest here, you or me. Anyway, we dropped down the road to the Yondermann to find it was full, no FULL, of motorbikes so off we went to the garden centre at Chatsworth. There wasn't one single motorbike, cyclist or hiker there, so don't go telling them that it is a great place to eat and not at all like up at the posh house. A few more peeled off at this point, leaving a line up of 5 cars. Chatsworth car park ABC went for their very delicious Sunday Roast And just in case Clare wasn't feeding him later (unlikely) he had Roulade for afters It was all calm at this point, but we had 2 of the 3 Andy's around the table, it could get messy The 2 Andy's are sat next to each other, it won't end well......and now the cakes have arrived OMG, @Andy Westwood, stop sunbathing on that beach and get yourself in the middle of these 2 I sat at the opposite end of the table to be safe, nowhere is safe After the bun fight we got down to some more serious stuff, Andy's @aeg car was only firing on 3 cylinders and it had to be investigated in the car park. To find that there is a leak on the rocker cover gasket causing oil to go into the plughole Now is a good time to remind everyone who owns a Westfield to go and check if the bolts have worked loose on the rocker cover, with all the vibration it does happen. Thank you to Rob for bringing the cars up from the Southern part of our area and to Ian for the photo's and Bagpuss TV. We hope everyone enjoyed the run, scenery and quiet back roads, not to mention cake, thanks for coming everyone and see you next time.

  19. I was asked by my daughter if I could provide 3 cars to take her friend and his 2 brothers to his wedding today. A shout out on the WhatsApp group got @Morley and @marcusbinterested with the mention of some beers. The wedding was at 1:30, so we met at Marcus' before to put some ribbons on the cars, then headed over to the groom's house. We had some interest while waiting in the supermarket car park. It was only a short run from there into Huddersfield and the Town Hall. After getting a bit lost with the one way system and bus lanes, we managed to get them there on time, well, on time to go to the pub for a pint! Congratulations to Micky and Martha.
