  2. So @Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO is totally wiping the floor with my holiday quota and is going away for a whole month 😁 so does that mean we can call you Judith Chalmers instead of me? I think so. good move Tony, for the wider audience can I explain that on recent holidays my nutcase husband travels past camp sites early in a morning (either in a Westfield or on a cycle) and shouts 'Wakey Wakey' as we zoom past. At that point I totally disown him😁

  4. Don't put ideas in their heads! The eldest went into town last week with a friend and my last words were 'do something constructive and don't hang around McDonald's with the other oiks'. My wife found her in weatherspoons albeit drinking coke with a bowl of chips. She said dad said don't hang around McDonald's so we came here instead. (Turned around on me!!!) So she has walked into a Weatherspoons ordered a drink and chips and sat down and no one questioned her?? Fair play to her I suppose....I wouldn't have had the balls when I was 13🤣

  7. I'm in Hampshire but there'll be others closer to you... I'm 6 foot 4 but am a skinny git at only 12 stone. How you fit depends on if your height is in your legs or in your back. Either way you can adjust stuff to make the car fit you. My seats are fixed, but my wife who is about 5 foot 8 can drive by using a cushion behind her. I'm another one who has replaced bikes with a westfield. It's an understandable move... they're bl**** good fun. You do have to be prepared to do a bit of spannering.

  9. Upon opening the curtains this morning, rain - legging it down... Great another day wasted. However by mid morning it had stopped and by lunchtime the roads were dry again, YAY.. First call as I mentioned above was to an old friend from my Triumph days, he now owns Llangollen motor muesum , since it was left to him after his father passed on. Many great thing lay inside Huge prize if you know what this is ? ^^^^^ Far too many to post here , and if I did you won't need to visit would you?. Anyway, leaving my friend to continue restoring his cars, I took the scenic way back over the Horseshoe Pass, Denbighshire ,weather was just right and the roads over that way are stunning for our cars. On the way up Anyone for some slate ?. And then at the peak, stunning views Sandwiches and soft drink consumed, I left Denbighshire to head to Flintshire, this was another find the owner of a house task. Having located around a few dozen photos from the 1920;s up the the 1980;s when my great grandmother died, Sadly the owners were not in. I went old school on the way home Got home just before it got dark, then spent an hour getting the mud and other things of the car erm, something died this afternoon 🙁 I was at loggerheads as wether or not to get fuel today ?, 🤣 More Welsh runs planned More soon

  10. I could shout anything as nobody would have a clue what was said over the engine noise!! I have tried it to the distress of my copilot who seems to get embarrassed in case they can make out what comments were made. The problem is that I forget that the engine doesn’t drown out the comments when stopped at traffic lights!!😁

  11. Ok, I'll revive this topic. Due to some serious health problems of a family member which prevented my UK visit last December, I've just booked again my flight in for September, so I'll be in Macclesfield from 13th to 18th Sept. I think I'll be having a full free day on the 17th. @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO eventually I can take the train down to Stoke if you're around
