  3. What a beautiful day for a meet up! Steve and I met up early at the services to have a B road blast in his new car (I'm very jealous of the carbon Tillets!) Arriving at Curborough, it already felt about 30 degrees at 10am! We parked up next to a beautiful aluminium Locost and found Paul (ZX12 MK), Paul (VX220), Hedley and Dan already there. Minutes later Tim arrived in the ecoboost. After a quick mooch around a few classics we found another Westfield owned by Phil who had made the trip from Telford with his brother riding shotgun. MX5 engined with a Scooby turbo bolted on giving circa 240bhp, it was a beautifully built car with great attention to detail 👍 As we were about to leave, we spotted a very rare car pulling in! It was a Lotus Seven Series 4.... Chatting to its enthusiastic owner, it is running a 4 speed rocket box with a 1740cc crossflow with 130bhp at the wheels and he'd owned since he was 21 years old! Another visit planned tomorrow, feel free to come along 👍

  5. Over the years I've started to collect power tools (Ryobi) and was always struggling to store them. Then I spotted But at nearly £100 a little over the top. Then discovered a whole world of DIY solutions But that's effort, meh So onto Amazon and noticed these under cupboard glass holders And with a little imagination (and bending the metal guides) ended up with All for £11 👍

  6. Made the most of the sunny weather to drive the Westfield to work. Only drama was avoiding all the (massive) speed humps on camp!

  7. I’ve seen quite a few posts/videos etc using stuff like this…. There’s some well creative thinking going on. Kinda makes you smile amongst the sea of pounting munters and wanna be influencers to see some genuine thinking and useful stuff. that looks great

  8. @judder @Buckles23 That's cool, we thought that might be the case, the sun was relentless, and most Scots are made of chocolate above 20 deg! 😜

  9. Amazing roads! My grandparents lived in Kirriemuir and then Arbroath for many years, I've done the Glen Isla, Glen Shee, Braemar, Cairn O Mount loop many many times, sadly never in a Westfield though 👍

  10. @Quinten Uijldert - Webmaster - Not sure if you've seen this? I'm getting it as well on the http version, but I've just had a look at the script and it looks like genuine Invision Community code so I think it's a host error resolving it as a download rather than a malicious hack. Always good to be vigilant though.

  11. @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative - yes the whole of the coastline is gorgeous. My family are from Durham and Stanhope but I haven’t ever spent much time that far up the coast. 😀

  12. Fixed that for you Paul! I can't stress this enough, eBay's fees are insane for stuff like this now on a small business like ADB. These businesses do it because they have to, but wherever possible, if they have a more direct shop/sales channel, like, in this case, Mofast, do please, please use it! Just to highlight for those that don't know, Jase was one half of the superb parts team (with Patrick, who left before this all happened) that turned Westfield Parts Department completely around and earned much praise from us all. Buying our spares and parts from guys like this helps keep the knowledge and experience they posses of the brand, available to us all. It also helps support fellow enthusiasts of the marque, be it ADB or indeed Mofast. Who is way to modest to admit how much support and work he puts in that benefits us all! Much better than letting face less corporations take excessive cuts of our money!! (Rant over! )

  16. This car was the closest Westfield produced as a single donor (no Marina odd stud patterns). The car is in 100% original build condition having had no repair or paintwork and to the best of my knowledge was sourced from Cortina GT 1600E possibly Mexico parts. The car retains it's progressive twin choke downdraft carburettor so in all likelihood the engine block is the selected item used in the original Dagenham car. The Buyer would need to confirm this to their own satisfaction. Faults: The forward facing hood hoop has been lost. The Odometer isn't functioning, which incidentally reads 9056 miles, but you can be assured that the previous owner, who suffered ill health, and in my ownership, the mileage has been restricted to a short visit for MOT. Condition will confirm. Currently on SORN - MOT expired May '22 - I will gladly at my own expense provide a new MOT but if the buyer prefers to use their own MOT station I will make a cash allowance. Regrettably, being 76 and arthritic, it's time for this lovely car to go to a more enthusiastic owner and get out of the garage occasionally. Contact Graham on 01939 210865 Available to View 3 miles north of Shrewsbury. Price £5950.00 to serious buyers

  17. That is an interesting fact although it is one I try not to dwell on, otherwise I would never drive my car around on the great big circular road to nowhere. It does, however, help to achieve my aim of dying penniless😮

  18. I did a 508 mile circuit of Wales Weds/Thurs with two other 7s. My 1.8 Zetec Westy amazingly returned 42mpg 😯
